Off hand the most memorable moments I’ve had watching TV as a kid were the Glover interview, Drew Barrymore flashing her tits, the Press Your Luck with the guy that figured out the pattern so he could win forever, the Newhart finale...an episode of Young and the Restless, don’t ask.

Actually it appears to make less sense after reading the article. Apparently this screenplay wasn’t even really based on the sequel novel.

I’m surprised no one mentioned the fact that the author of the sequel novel specifically wrote it like this in response to the movie with the intention of basically making it an unfilmable wreck.

Given how historically accurate the film was, they might as well just go for broke in the next one and have it be about Brian May inventing a time machine, so they can have all sorts of excellent and/or bogus adventures.
