Her body was totally Japanese, it was a common make model she used so she wouldn’t stand out and be easily targeted. If you don’t want to stand out in Japan, you don’t make your body look white.

Former flash/flex dev here. I miss the good old days of flash. Modern day web development is a mess. Its sad when a project has to depend on thousands of npm packages just to make things work, or even do simple things. (and those packages depend on other packages) Its mind boggling. Flash did it all neatly out of the…
Right there with ya buddy. The sprite work in KoF XIII was amazing. Too bad SS didnt get the same treatment :(
You pronounce it “Mash” too?!
Tatsuya Egawa of Golden Boy fame used to do this kind of thing for Newtype magazine back in the 90's. I always thought they looked cool, and even did a similar project in my photoshop class in college back in the day.
IIRC, the spelling of “Crono” was due to a limitation of the number of roman characters in the name field. In Japanese when his name is listed in Romaji it spelled “Chrono”, and both would be spelled the same in Katakana. Technically the title of the game would be for both the Protagonist and the item.
If only Nintendo had an IP that was a fast paced racing game set in the future.....oh wait.
This is correct, Sen-oku yen would be a little over $9 billion at todays exchange rate. ($9,106,000,000 to be exact)
This is cool and all and I am partially interested, but what I really want is a new Samurai Spirits/Showdown game....
My wife (who is Japanese) and I were having a discussion about this recently, and your statement kind of reflects what she was talking about and proves her point. I am going to make some basic assumptions here, and if I am wrong then feel free to point it out. I am guessing that you are American, or live in a country…
That made it even worse for me, since black rain was a thing that happened because of the A-bomb, and the side-effects weren’t nice.
Basically, minus the Mirin, Teriyaki is Soy sauce and sugar.
Hey Squenix, you want to make VI look good? Then make it look like octopath traveler. Until then I will just cherish the original SNES, and GBA versions.
Back in the late 90's/early 2000's I played this on, what was probably the first PS1 emulator, Bleem. It would use the PC’s graphics card to smooth up the polygons rather nicely. I would assume that any modern-day PS1 emulator would do something similar. Give it a try.
This is probably my most awaited game for this year. Loved the demo. Also I would not mind a FF VI remake done in this fashion.
That could actually be the case, I was probably too excited by the option of having Japanese audio for the game. I’ll have to boot up the Vita to check.
If you play the psp version of Castlevania X, it unlocks SotN with the original Japanese voice as the only option (I guess Konami was trying to punish the gamers in some way by not giving away the whole game they had in the US, but it is exactly what I wanted). I highly recommend it over that horrible, laughable, but…
Have you tried any of the PS1 emulators for PC that are available? You should be able to play any PS1 game you own at this point without needing to repair your original hardware. Also, +1 for the Buckaroo Banzai name ref.
Ah, the good ol’ Hobbit adventure game. I used to get so frustrated as a kid playing that. Gollum would just end up killing you half the time. I got so frustrated with Thorin once I actually killed him. Then I got to the Lonely Mountain and couldn’t continue any further ha ha. Man now I kinda want to go back and play…
I made the same mistake my first time playing and killed Cid. The suicide scene was the first time I cried during a game. Celes is probably my favorite character from VI, and I still argue to this day that FF VI is the best in the series. Such a good story, great characters both good and evil, beautiful graphics, I…
