Well now I’m super curious about the maintenance costs of these, if that’s supposedly what’s behind the change. They’re never broken when I’m somewhere with them. Fountain soda costs pennies a glass, as far as I’m aware. How could making staff stand and wait the extra 15 seconds to fill the cup up be more efficient…

Pike Place is essentially a farmers market, which, unless you’re staying somewhere with a kitchen is not all that useful to tourists, so I kind of get it.

Literally 20 years ago my Costco had a flavor-burst soft serve machine where you could get one of twenty flavors twisted into the vanilla soft serve. Bring those back!
