Agreed. I have friends who swear by the taste but as far as I’m concerned, it all comes out the same way and feels the same during a hangover.

I have an alcohol intolerance and while my allergist does recommend a Zyrtec before drinking begins, he also recommended Ester-C which can also dramatically reduce histamine levels. Maybe folks can opt for that instead?

Arrive early. Wear comfortable shoes. Don’t forget dining reservations if you are persnickety about food. Buy park hopper tickets only if you know you can cover more than one park in a day with children/strollers/elderly adults/etc. Also, if you are staying at the resort, take advantage of Magic Hour if available.

I’m hearing Janet particularly is the reason Outside Lands is (and FYF was) underperforming and I refuse to believe it. Janet was one of the reasons I might go after a ticket. I think festival programmers just aren’t giving us enough to justify the high ticket prices anymore.

The music festival bubble is bursting — especially in California. Coachella’s lineup left a lot to be desired (undercard notwithstanding) and with Outside Lands, Arroyo Seco, Blurry Vision, Kaaboo, Ohana, CRSSD, Splash House, HARD and FYF there’s just not enough room at the table.
