I stopped watching House of Cards when they killed her off.

I agree for the most part regarding "Fargo", which is completely different IMO, but with "Legion" I just don't feel any connection to the characters. YMMV, but that's what is most important to me in any serialized narrative. It's a little different with movies. I can enjoy movies based on their atmosphere and other

Say what you will, I'm enjoying this show more than the over-hyped "Legion".

I am surprised no one has mentioned the Winsor McKay shoutout:

I didn't like this episode quite as much as the ones before it, but I have to say I didn't see Laura Innes being the cell leader coming. That really took me by surprise.

Not enough Lucy for an A in this one, but still very good. I can imagine the show working with Josh & Lucy as a married couple in another season. There is no need to be slave to the show's title.

It's "Detouring America with Horns" from the album "May I Sing With Me?" and it is played during the montage of them alternatingly proposing to each other..

I know I'll get burned on the stake for saying this, but while I liked this episode better than the pilot, I'm still very underwhelmed. My biggest issue is that none of the characters feel real to me. I loved Fargo for the most part (didn't enjoy the sometimes excessive violence), and I think the biggest difference to

The Yo La Tengo song put me over the edge.

I'm sad they recast Thora Birch. I wonder if it was due to scheduling or for other reasons. Anyway, I liked the episode better than the reviewer. Table setting gets a bad rap, but it's necessary if you want to eat properly (to stay with the metaphor).

This has quickly become my most-anticipated show this season. Only the title doesn't suit the show anymore. My suggestion: I Love Lucy! 💖

That's it for me with the show. I'm out. As Marina said: "fuck that noise!"

I agree with most of your points. The season was uneven, but I loved the finale! How can you not love Paris? The show really looked like a European film all of a sudden. Possibly because I know Irène Jacob from the two films you mention, plus Kieszlowski's "Three Colours: Red", I would never be unhappy to see her. If

Amen.

I love Hurricane Whitney!

I'm from Cologne, and I used to see Jaki jam with other musicians regularly in the 90s. For some reason I stopped going to those informal events (no cover charge, just a hat for tips), but I cherish those memories. He was the best.

I only started watching this season because of Katie Findlay 😍
Should I catch up on the first two seasons?

Thank you. I was about to write virtually the same.

I would choose Luisa over Alison immediately, so I really don't understand how torn Cole is. Except for the short period where she was depicted as shrill regarding the custody issue (in other people's POVs, notably), she has been a saint. She's so much better for Cole!
