Glad about weekly reviews. I enjoyed S1 a lot. The first episode of S2 was a bit of a slog IMO, but I guess it's table setting for the next few weeks. I really hope they don't go the flashback road any more, though. That's been done.

I've seen just about every Jarmusch film, so in general I really like his filmmaking, but this one didn't work for me. I have a small hope that part of it was having to watch the dubbed German version, but I'm not convinced I would have loved it in English.
My favorite is Marc-Uwe Kling, whose "Kangaroo Chronicles" are now available in English:
The difference (IMO) is that Swiss Army Man is sophomoric claptrap pretending to be deep, whereas Toni Erdmann is the real deal. YMMV etc.
It seems that critics liked the show worse than the general population. At least the ones who actually finished the show seem to like it pretty well. I'd give it a B.
I really liked Jacqueline Byers on Ascension, and to some degree on Roadies, so I was glad to see her here as Bonnie.
I'm surprised to read that most people here are so judgemental regarding the characters. In my view the purpose of the show is to view all stories from all angles, but not necessarily to decide who is right and who is wrong. But whatever floats your boat.
Somehow I didn't enjoy the episode as much as most people apparently have. There were great scenes, of course, but I felt that in sum it was all a bit much, and less subtle than Rectify usually is. Is it really necessary to have all the things spelled out in a single episode that we as audience have observed over more…
I hadn't seen Irène Jacob in anything since Three Colors: Red! Glad she's in the show, and the same goes for Sarah Ramos.
It's been a long time since I've watched it, but I loved the film, and I also loved Rebecca Pidgeon in it. Surprised to see people are so down on her.
IMO this show doesn't get enough credit. We need shows like this and Supergirl, now more than ever.
I disliked White Bear, so I guess it's no surprise I didn't like this one either. Black Mirror is veering towards most-overrated territory, which is a shame, considering how good it started. These episodes seem too much like torture porn to me, even if they're supposed to hold a mirror to the audience. I don't need…
I loved most of season 3 precisely for the reasons why others hate it. It's more about atmosphere than plot. I will not go into details (spoilers) here, but I want to put it out there that this style of TV has its fans. Rectify is better than The Fall, but it's similar in some ways.
I really like the show, and I hope regular reviews return in the future.
Fleming didn't write Skyfall, and priest holes only existed in England, not in Germany.
I hadn't either until they were a topic in a Better Call Saul episode.
Damn, time to get out the Blu-Rays once more. I believe the show was ahead of its time.
The first two episodes were the best of the bunch, but at least I thought the finale was an improvement on the ones before it. Ultimately I consider the show a failed experiment, but I'm glad to have discovered Miley Cyrus as an actress.
I've actually been watching along with the reviews, but now I'm going to watch the final episode. I liked episode 5 a bit better than its predecessor, but on the whole the quality has been declining. Hopefully the finale will end on an up note.
I enjoyed this episode the least so far, and contrary to our reviewer I hated the book club scene. Anything with Lenny is at least OK, though.
