Limitless is one of my favorite shows, and while I don't have much to say about it myself, I'd be happy about weekly reviews.

Original comment written while inebriated. I am just baffled by commenter Tsunami's total lack of empathy.

My favorite piece of the soundtrack wasn't mentioned. It's "Zum Sanctus" from Franz Schubert's "Deutsche Messe", the choral piece that goes "Heilig, heilig ist der Herr". I would like to know which recording was used.

The way "Nabucco" was used reminded me very much of the way Lars von Trier used "Tristan und Isolde" in "Melancholia".

FWIW, I liked this episode better than the pilot.

I just finished the series and was glad to find such a thoughtful discussion of it here. Thanks!

Victoria was a disappointment with regard to its story, but the single take made for exhilarating immediacy. I'd definitely recommend watching it. Still, I've enjoyed other movies by Sebastian Schipper more.

I'm looking forward to season 2. With a cast like that I don't mind the problems with the plot. Not every show needs to be great. Sometimes good enough is just that.

How can you write an entire article about the song without mentioning Kurt Weill?

That was obvious, wasn't it?

After watching two episodes of each, I'm not convinced Narcos is the better show.

The more this reviewer likes the show, the less I do :-(

Perhaps something was lost in translation? I really enjoyed the film when I saw it a few months ago. I liked it better than The Intouchables.

Actually she died on June 15.

I liked this episode the least so far, because I thought the shouting match between Alexander and his father was acted very badly, and the plot with Linda and her boss was too predictable – it felt like a German TV show, and in my mind the biggest compliment you can make is to say that something is unlike German TV.

Deutschland 83 is German with English subtittles, and it's currently being aired on SundanceTV.

I recognized it as familiar, but I don't know what it is.

Good points. I also wasn't happy with all of the subtitles.
My favorite part of the episode was the discussion of the 1983 cup final in Cologne, because I was there :-)

It wasn't the buying of the books that was illegal. They had illegally exchanged their money, because the official exchange rates were a joke.

I just watched the first episode. It won't actually air here in Germany until fall, so I watched the U.S. version. I don't agree that it's better than The Americans, but having lived through the era I can say that it portrays the early 80s in Germany quite well. But the English subtitles were sometimes lacking. Of
