I admire the response and the reasoning, but what I think is being overlooked here is one thing you just can’t stop: You ain’t going to get a wife/mother on board with a minivan if she’s already against them. It’s just not going to happen.

It’s sharp, but I dont think it’s enough to sway me away from the chrysler. These media outlets can lift the Kia up on as many podiums as they want, that AWD and Stow-n-go combo is unbeatable.
Even if you remove off-roading from the equation, like I said, still have good resale, still sit up high, still a 4 door convertible, still just as useful in buffalo NY as Miami Florida, still cool looking, still extremely customizable, still has a HUGE fan base(or family....or cult) that transcends politics,…
Eh, is it really any sillier than a Muscle car that only goes to Car shows? or a Supercar that never goes to the track? Or an F-150 that never hauls anything?
**GET to drive a Jeep, which I absolutely do.
It’s a shorter list of what actually IS worth the money. But I’ll try to show how nuanced and tricky this is:
I really like Ram’s Etorque solution. Engine shuts down, and when it starts back up, it does not use the starter, it uses the etorque generator, running a belt directly to the crank. It’s completely silent and instantaneous.
I BURN WITH DESIRE
MAN lemme tell ya, I’ve had a LOT of 2 door Suvs.
Right, It’s a wierd thing. On one hand, I feel a sense of pride for working for what is actually a REALLY kind and honest group of people, but on the other, It’s not lost on me that we’re not doing something particularly noble, we’re just not being dishonest.
Well, in the case of my dealership, (I don’t get paid commission)
On every car, new or used, we charge sales tax, a $35 title fee, and a $250 doc fee. No lojack, no trucoat, no prep fee, no urine sample.
Living in a rural area, going to trade school for Auto Mechanics, 10 years as owner of an indie repair shop, and 9 years as a sales consultant at a CDJR store.
Funny, we got a cube when cash for clunkers happened. I traded in my $500 dollar Jeep Cherokee and my sister got a shiny new 2009 Cube.
Yup. Especially at the beginning of 2021, EV and PHEV leases could get crazy cheap.
Honest opinion, it’s a pretty rare thing when a production vehicle looks better than the concept drawings. This is one of those cases. That is a REALLY good looking vehicle.
Two years of absolute idiots lining up to pay over sticker.
Honestly, and this is coming from a Mopar guy here, I really think they’d be better to just let Chrysler die, and roll with the pacifica as a Dodge. Let go of this “Dodge is the performance brand” and roll Ram back in as well. Let them be a full line automaker once again, with cars, trucks, vans, and Suvs.
I don’t think they’ll be cross shopped enough for it to matter. Like, Grand Cherokees and Durangos are both “midsize 3 row” but its VERY rare someone has me show them both a grand cherokee AND a durango. It would be the same thing here. The importance is the size class here. The compact CUV is covered by the Dart,-ahem…
My Master plan for Chrysler:
