Man, I’ve owned and ridden in more than a few Camaros of this vintage, and they all rode pretty flinty. That thing looks like it rides on a cloud.

I dont always make mistakes when I work on my vehicles, but when I do, I almost always find out after I’ve buttoned everything back up and go to drive it.
Cannot be smashed, you say?
You would be VERY suprised at how silly you can get with one on stock size tires.
“I swear some Wrangler drivers think it’s a sports car.”
I’ve had a few spectacularly thirsty rigs that returned single digit fuel economy, but the one vehicle that blew my mind was my 2003 Taurus sedan with the 3.0. It had to just be something off with the machining on the engine, as it was worse on fuel than my Ranger pickup with the same engine.
No, we’re a new car dealer, but one in a rather economically depressed area. We take in a LOT of old beaters, and usually during the process of appraising it to come in on trade, we know if its one to keep and retail, or one to send to the auction.
For me it’s signing the “We Owe” form that says “Nothing Owed, No warranty, AS-IS”, then signing the FTC that says “DEALER OFFERS NO GUARANTEE OR REPAIRS”, and then finally, the white form that says AS-IS in 4 inch tall letters, and then calling me a week later after discovering an issue.
From one of my FB Car Sales groups, guy was trying to get this approved and was asking everyone why the bank sent back a “Reduce by $94,811"
This isn’t going to sound politically correct but it’s just my experience: Because taste in modification is something that is honed over a long period of time involved, and to a lesser extent, impacted by the amount of money available.
People will always negatively react to anything that can be perceived as an attack on their choices, especially when its a choice that they’ve committed a lot of money towards.
Yes! Exactly! I’m 10 years in selling cars at a CDJR store, and boy is it a love-hate thing: Hate the car business, love the cars, love people, hate they way they treat each other. It’s a hell of a ride, glad you got out lol!
The go-to answers will likely be Toyota and Subaru, but I have a different take:
They need to bring this here with the front bench option intact. And then they need to ADVERTISE it. There are not a lot of options for a 9 seat vehicle, and those that exist are more money than one of these. It’s a partially untapped market.
If you were in the business, you know just as well as I do that a 121% LTV higher than a giraffe’s ass, but they’ll absolutely get it done.
“Worst Mustang?”
It’s literally the opposite: Toyotas hold their value, except their EV’s.
Absolutely. They could not have more aggressively half-assed that thing.
