TR6060 has a very stout torque rating, I think the “no tow rating” had more to do with the truck itself than the transmission.

Any half ton pickup. I understand slowly and surely, people just stopped buying them, with Ram holding out all the way to 2018 on thier heavies.

Suzuki is just a giant heartache for me. They killed off the Samurai. Then the Sidekick. Then the SX4. Then the Kizashi. After that, they killed off their excellent line of sport ATVs. Then, they never even bothered to make an entrance into the SXS world, a market that sent letters and petitions to try and get this

I don’t think there are many cars that other countries REALLY missed out on, because there’s probably something that offers a similar experience that IS available.

As a guy that works in a traditional dealership, avg profit per vehicle is $4,000?! That’s almost alarming. If I sell a 60,000 dollar Grand Cherokee at Invoice, the gross profit is about $1900. They’re making 4K a peice on used stuff? It looks like theyre holding good profits, but losing shoppers fast to me.

In the Appalachian region, most “trails” end up looking like this at some point or another, there’s definitely good trails around that you can have a blast in a stout little car. But we like the real nasty technical stuff.

We’re super jealous of the consistent reliability.

I have a wierd case for owning a Jeep. My passion is off-roading, (need capability) I take 3 kids to school every morning, (need room) I have a 60 mile round trip commute to work (need halfway decent mileage) I cannot live without a convertible (need top-down capability) I refuse to drive an Automatic (Need manual

No no not at all! Some people “get” certain vehicles and some dont! I had a 91 Miata and it was one of my favorite vehicles of all time, and I get to drive amazing cars on nice backroads all the time, so I totally understand the appeal! But it’s nice to just take advantage of a nice day, load the kids and dog up, and

Dang, okay. I guess it’s a me thing. It’s definitely not fun in the same way as a little car, but there’s fun to be had that can’t be matched by a lot of other vehicles.

A Jeep wrangler, experienced properly.  Top down, doors off, down a gravel road or mild trail with incredible scenery.  One time is all it takes to understand why we put up with such an objectively bad vehicle.

Yes, absolutely. Hell, current lease rates have gone through the roof as well. Ally and Chrysler Capital money factors are pretty much 8-9 percent on average. They were 0.9-1.9 last year.

It’s getting awful. I’m about to start looking for another career. Huntington, Chase, Wells, all the big players are getting absolutely stupid with their rates, and I feel like they are straight up taking advantage.

Sorry, brainfart.

Cheating a bit here, but since my favorite vehicle is just the “Jeep” I feel like it can span muliple model names, because from the Willys MB to the current wrangler, they are all in their heart the same vehicle.

There was maybe one vehicle that design language worked well on: the Commander. Even then, it was really only decent in the high trim levels. But on a truck that cost the equivalent of 90,000 dollars today (swear) this is absolutely disgusting.

Hands down, the 2006 Refresh of the Ram 1500. The 02-05 model was handsome, understated, and for the period, the interior was outstanding. (a lot of the things that make the current gen such a great design were true of that 03-05 model)

I seriously hope. I love this company, and I really do love the products, but for every good idea they have, there’s one that gets completely botched.

As someone who sells their vehicles for a living, I will never understand Stellantis. They take WAY too long to decide to make a vehicle, when they bring it to market, it’s always in a screwed up and nonsensical fashion, and then they place limits for us on what can be bought and sold.

Yup, that would be the 6.9L IDI. It had some longevity for sure, but was woefully underpowered and very thirsty. The 7.3 came out in the early 90s, 93 or 94ish. It had a turbo, but I swear they made a non-turbo version of it as well.
