Sure, lots and lots of people just want the image of having a truck, in fact in a lot of places, as a guy you are pretty much expected to own a truck. This crap starts in high school. When 16 year old me blew up my truck, I replaced it with a 5 speed ford Explorer. I was laughed at, literally laughed at when I said it

The 7.3 that came before the 6.0 was turbo’d. The 6.0 was a complete disaster due to Ford’s pressure on International to build an engine to certain specs, at a certain price, before a certain deadline. Quite honestly the turbo was the only thing on a 6.0 that didn’t cause problems.

It’s a nice car to be sure, but this price puts it in the company of much more satisfying and/or practical cars in similar shape.  Impala SS, Mustangs, a decent Mitsubishi Eclipse, the better-in-about-every-way Toyota Celica, I’d call this a heck of a buy at 4500-5,000. At 6, I’m just too close to some far better

It’s all a step in the right direction, but you cannot stop the need for larger gas guzzling vehicles. You can only try to slowly switch these gas guzzlers to more efficient powertrains, and make people just deal with it. Even then you will have resistance, which makes the #Brands so hesitant to do it.

Man, there are so many different schools of thought to what makes a good track car. FWD? AWD? RWD? Theres probably 4 or 5 of each of those that would be perfect. Is it a DEDICATED track car, or something you daily and also track? It’s just so wide open.

The entire Family entertainment package on my Pacifica. It’s super neat, and the kids having access to Youtube, Netflix, Prime video and all that jazz built into the car is swell, but really, it’s nothing they couldn’t do without the van’s wifi connection and a couple of tablets. It’s a neat little trick, but wrapped

It seems like for all their flaws, Ford has been absolutely busting their ass to bring some world-beating stuff to market. As a Mopar guy, I’m a bit jealous.

No hate, that’s exactly what they are, and what most of them always were.

I’m sorry, what?

You will not regret it. I’m back in a JK again (I’ve had about 7 different JKs) and its just a night and day difference in how they feel and drive.

Out west those super low gears are great. Not so much in Appalachia. We have lots of mud, tree roots, wet rocks and stuff. Wheelspeed is often the difference between making it and not making it. You’re locked out of using lockers in 4-hi, and 4-low I think the fastest it will allow you to go is around 30mph. Sounds

I’m so stoked for this. I had a rubicon 4xe and absolutely loved it. I sold it to Carvana (and made a 5,000 dollar profit) and i’ve been kicking myself ever since. Not only is it a rocket, but I don’t think there’s another hybrid on the market that allows and welcomes so much driver involvement in how it operates.

Got back to work from my day off, my finance manager comes up to me and says “We took in a Jeep right up your alley, it’s gonna go to auction but go check it out.”

Yup, completely blew my mind when just for gits and shiggles I ran the Carfax on my beloved 2019 yellow Jeep Renegade (honest i loved that thing) It died heroically keeping me safe while I launched it 8 feet in the air, hit a tree, and landed on the passenger side on an icy road. The whole Jeep was demolished and was

I swear. Normal stuff the whole way. Brakes now and then, plugs and coils at about 100k if I remember. Redid the whole front end along with shocks and struts around that time too. She ran great to about 200k, where I ripped a coolant hose off on a trail ride, ran it out of coolant, and ruined the engine. It got me

My entire childhood was spent in a Van. I think we had one of every single generation of Dodge Caravan until 2006, when my Dad bought a Jeep Commander. Which, oddly enough, served the family for the better part of a decade, racking up 200K plus miles and never giving us a problem. Now the kids have flown the coup, and

Just got back from our first road trip, from Ohio to Myrtle Beach and back, in our 2022 Pacifica AWD. My wife drug me kicking and screaming into minivan ownership, and after that road trip, a camping trip with a rooftop tent on top, and a few trips to Pittsburgh with 2 other couples in the back, this thing is the

I’m glad Ford did an IFS setup on the Br0nco. It allowed them to differentiate it from the Wrangler, and it invites comparison and good debate about the two. But man, I really hope Jeep never quits running Solid Axles on Wranglers. I feel like it would be the beginning of the end of Jeep being the last TRUE hardcore

There’s a few things killing 2 wheelers:

I dont think either of the outgoing model are getting the market share that they want. They needed something more hardcore. The current ones really dont do much for anybody that isn’t already a gm customer.
