I have to admit, that's the first explanation for the forced apology that makes sense. I hadn't thought of it that way.

Absolutely no question, the school should have called authorities immediately, as soon as the girl came forward with the rape allegation. Even if that were the only thing they had done wrong, that would still be unacceptable, and shocking.
Wow, you've just destroyed that straw man. Beaten him to a pulp! He'll NEVER come back around here saying those things again.
Thanks, I do appreciate that you took the time to read, consider, and comprehend my comment.
Damn, good for you. Unfortunately many schools have a deplorable record when it comes to accommodating learners with special needs. I hope your son is doing well at his new school!
Well I didn't want to jump to conclusions about Missouri, but I'll gladly acknowledge I've never spent any time there. If there is that kind of culture, that's deplorable.
Also, the article did not indicate that the girl has a developmental disability. It said that she is a "special education" student, which could mean any number of things, but probably means that she attends a self-contained class with a limited teacher-student ratio. She might have a learning disability, or a…
Who thinks this stuff never happens at school?
That is pretty much what I was thinking. I'm trying to stretch my imagination, to try and imagine the psychology of a school administrator who would take such a course of action. I could see if the boy were from an influential family, that could carry a lot of weight.
That is terrible, and I'm very sorry to hear it — sorry about your attack, and sorry that you didn't get support from your family.
I find this story so outrageous as to be implausible. I worked for years in public schools, and if there was one universal truth, it was that school employees look first and foremost to cover their own asses. If a child were to come forward with such a serious allegation, a criminal allegation, school officials would…
I have a theory about the 70s. There was a big retro thing for the 70s during the 90s, and now 90s nostalgia is in. So what you're really seeing is the 70s as filtered through the 90s. Basically, it's nostalgia for nostalgia.
It goes in 20 year cycles, as predictable as the tides.
That's a good point. I guess I'm so used to seeing super-sexual pinups, that I barely noticed the sex kittenishness of that one.
I know, I was so pleased to see him included. Thing is, that's not too far off from his regular garb/poses.
Hilarious idea, and excellent execution. The funny thing is, that Wonder Woman pose is nothing — it's quite tame and not especially sexual compared to pretty much every other comic book cover or pinup ever featuring She-Hulk, Catwoman, Supergirl, Emma Frost, Black Cat, Scarlet Witch... hell, pretty much any female…
OMG, is there anything more luscious than a young Angelina Jolie? Except maybe for a young Johnny Lee Miller. Wowza.
I remember when my niece was about that age, I went to her dance recital. She and some other little girls bounced up and down and did hand gestures to "the Wheels on the Bus." Mostly they couldn't remember the gestures, but it was cute.
SRSLY. What else is there to say?
This idea is actually pure genius. I was just talking to an acquaintance about her wedding. She said she hired some daycare workers to watch the children, so parents at the wedding could booze it up and not have to worry about it. I can't believe I've never seen that done before. Every wedding should have that!
