They’ve also made Rise of Skywalker available digitally on iTunes four days before it’s scheduled release. I’m choosing to see all of this as simply a nice gesture on the part of the soulless megalithic corporation.

Lego Ideas was also behind the Saturn V rocket kit from a few years ago. One of my absolute favorite Lego builds ever made.

No. And even though it bugs me that they couldn’t be bothered to do that beforehand, I’m not bothered enough to stop myself from watching it.

Slowly burning my way through The Simpsons since the service debuted. I’m on season 6, and even though I’ve seen the first 10 or 11 seasons many times, I’m still struck once or twice a season by a joke that I’m just AMAZED made it onto this platform.

I remember it being dismissed as a ‘redneck Ocean’s 11' and wondering why that was a bad thing.  That’s exactly what it was and I loved it.

I think we owe this movie’s entire existence to the failure of 1941.

Even the mistakes seem like they were done on purpose. When he pushes the stone away to get out of the Well of Souls and you can see the shadow of this massive rock BOUNCE?   I know the shot was just framed a little too low, but I like to imagine Lucas and Spielberg seeing it and leaving it in as an homage to the old

The fury on his face when he punches that one Nazi and throws him through the front window of the truck....Jesus Christ.

I’d never read her review of Raiders.  Her opinion was surprising to me considering she famously loved Wrath of Khan.

I never got that he was pissed at Katanga. He was just exhausted and in a lot of pain. When the German sub shows up the next morning, Katanga helps him hide and covers for him.

Had the pleasure of seeing this a couple of years ago with a live orchestra providing the music. I’ve never had more fun watching it, and that’s saying a lot considering it’s my favorite movie and one of the best of John Williams’ scores. If an orchestra anywhere near you is performing this live to the film, I can’t

Which one most likely would have happened with Tom Selleck as Indy: either the movie’s just as big a success, and now we’d be complaining he’s too old to play the character for the fifth time and just let the series end, or Raiders with him becomes just another one-and-done oddity of the 80's, little-remembered

My grandmother was a Rosie in Houston but never really talked about it.  She died last February and people who had known her for decades were surprised to read about it in her obituary.

In Revenge of the Sith, Padme tells Anakin she’s pregnant on Coruscant after he rescues Palpatine, and he doesn’t leave the planet again until the Order 66 shit has hit the fan and he’s become Vader. This makes it seems like they’re changing that timeline a little. She’s clearly pregnant when they’re talking by

You know the guy that played Hitler was Admiral Ozzel in ‘Empire’?

I watched the Treehouse of Horror episode the other day where Smithers has the line ‘I think women and seamen shouldn’t mix.’ and I thought to myself that if some Disney exec had known about that specific joke, The Simpsons wouldn’t have been on Disney+.

I love all three of them. Raiders is my favorite movie of all time. Temple of Doom is just what you said: pulp adventure of the kind that inspired the character in the first place. And Last Crusade, even though it’s mostly just a too-lighthearted retread of Raiders, benefited tremendously from the single greatest

Any small chance I had of being interested in this movie has just ended.  There is a terrific IJ trilogy (yes, even Temple of Doom), and I’m fine with that being it for the character.  Last Crusade ended with him literally riding into the sunset, for God’s sake.

Tom’s big, dangerous, unprecedented stunt in this one will be simply licking a handrail on a subway platform.

Yeah, the new stuff in Jabba’s palace and Mos Eisley is bad, but to me it’s just decorations. New creatures and ships there for no reason. The changes to Empire are messing with the plot, with the movement and momentum of the storytelling.  That’s what makes it the worst to me.
