Actually, Texas hasn't banned Tesla sales. They're selling like hotcakes down here. Sure, they'd probably sell more if they were allowed to sell direct. They'd also sell more if Musk allowed franchised dealers. Either way, Musk himself said they want to sell direct while small but, when the model lineup and volume

It's marketing but it's also an illogical and arbitrary desire to stick to a numeric naming scheme. I guess Ms, Xs and Ds are OK but Ts aren't?

LOL! Good one... now seriously, what's it gonna look like?

What's wrong with having a nostalgic appreciation of the auditory bliss of an internal combustion engine? It's a cold and un-impassioned argument. I don't always want the most perfect and efficient solution. Sometimes I want passion and pure quirky, illogical enjoyment. I'm glad the world is currently a diverse place

OK. I do remember that Shelby article and the hubbub around it... some time ago.

I'm missing the joke? That is a Mustang GT500...

I'm actually starting to miss my 6.0. With it "bullet proofed" and mildly tuned it was a damn good truck. Zero issues. And better mileage than the newer diesels.

Each truck has it's trade-offs so it depends on your priorities... and if nothing else the competition between them has fostered three bass-ass vehicles.

I was referring to the decade rise in prices starting in the early 70s. Consumer demand for efficiency also lead to more efficient vehicles at times during history.

Perhaps. But it's not accurate to suggest that gas engines did not improve in efficiency during the period BEFORE the EPA got involved. They did. And rising gas prices also provided a more market-based motivation to do the same.

Right. I think the term "could" does not necessarily translate to "would be practical to do so".

Sounds good but the end result is an expansion of the welfare state to support all those folks that actually did work before you priced them out of driving a car to work.

Wait, wha?!?!

I've never argued the laws were good. Only that there isn't the political will amongst the people to change them. There is not the perception of a significant problem amongst the general populace.

The literal difference is obvious so I'm not sure what you mean... One is owned by a franchisee the other directly by a manufacturer.

1. Each car is built when ordered, as I understand it. Although I'm not completely clear on how they are coming up with 11 delivered and 29 built...

LOL. I totally agree with you on this one!

It's America, dude. You are totally free to leave. You're welcome.

Here's the good news... you get to have things your way, and us ours!!! Imagine that, a place for everyone's perspective!

Completely subjective. Is the Shelby Cobra a production car?
