Wow. What a blast from the past. This post didn’t age too well. lol

This article aged.... poorly.
I’m sorry, where exactly is the causal relationship between large trucks and pedestrian deaths? Good lord. Jalopnik has become the biggest turd.
Hellbitch. It echoes the equestrian theme while being sensitive to the times.
You mean, you don’t see a sea of Ferrari’s congesting our highways and polluting the planet as our natural future?
See, I’m thinking trade the catalytics for particulates... but they won’t can’t.
Who cares.. most of these will only drive 3000 miles a year. Or less.
Good to now.. BTW! Great looking Broncos!
Just think of all the Model S owners that bought their P1ooD because it was the fastest, coolest, most expensive EV you could buy (we will ignore the boutique brands like Fisker). Many of those people had no concern for the cost, in fact they would have paid much more for the “privilege”. These folks will not think…
I do agree, these are mostly not the same buyers, although I do suspect the venn diagram overlaps somewhat.
2, Yawn... my boredom is increasing even more now. I never said the Tesla was boring. I said the EV 0-60 competition is boring because they all do it in sub 3 seconds now. Do I really care if one is 3.0 and one is 2.8. No, I don’t. The difference is not important, boring.
2.. I’m just taking a wild-ass guess that Porsche will make a car that is more engaging to drive car than Tesla (not that the Tesla is bad)... I mean, they are pushing this point heavily in the marketing as well. I believe them.
I think we need to wait and see how the non-Turbo models stack up. And I’m laughing when I type non-Turbo.
“The Taycan may very well charger faster than the Tesla and destroy it around a track, and that’s really what Porsche has been pushing. Its vehicle was built to handle grueling, multi-hour runs around piping hot race circuits, something that has taxed Tesla in the past. But that may not matter to buyers”
I would have thought it was much more than two a day! Not bad!
Do you think it was 3 hours of driving? Or maybe there was some “waiting for a fare” mixed in? But more importantly, you are free to deem this an unworthy use of your time! Should you deem that for others?
You’re not wrong to wonder about that... but I will say the Lt1/2, in terms of reliability and long term cost of service will outperform most, if not all, cars in the same performance window. We will see about the DCT... a little nervous about that one.
Apparently something that provides me with things like “reason” and “the power of basic observation”.
Drive-throughs are dying a natural death, albeit too slowly for some do-gooder’s tastes. I don’t have a problem with people naturally choosing to eat wherever they like, I do not like cities banning things that are not objectively, undeniably horrible.
She seriously just wrote a whole article arguing “its a silly metric”.. noone at jalonick knew or thought to mention this history to her. This place is officially done.
