The only thing it’s missing is a gentle rebuke for sharing their full contact information.

It’s possibly the purest example I’ve ever seen. Such a dry burn.

Let’s not forget Quiet Riot.

So is this one of those episodes where every Act feels like a new Act 1?

At first, I found it odd that the name of Jude Law’s character was never spoken aloud until after his heel turn, but now I realize that it was to create greater suspense for the comics-savvy people in the audience.

At least Monica’s mom shows up in the movie trailer...

One of the best ongoing character stories in Soap was Jessica discovering her sexuality. It was an arc that consistently got laughs, but it generated a lot of feel-good moments as well. I can’t imagine any actress pulling off that material as exquisitely as Katherine Helmond did (not even Betty White.)

Yeah. I’ve seen a lot of local comedians try to create opportunities beyond Yuk Yuks, and they’ve really struggled. Independent dedicated comedy venues haven’t turned enough of a profit to stay afloat, and running occasional comedy shows at bars and concert halls doesn’t provide enough stability for the performers.

It’s wild. She got her big break on a Nickelodeon sitcom back in 2010. When her singing career started, I assumed that it would be yet another flash in the pan like Miranda Cosgrove. Instead, her albums have collectively sold millions of copies and she’s become one of the biggest pop stars on the planet.

The movie has generally had positive word of mouth, so it should hold on to a fair bit of its audience this coming weekend.

I totally believe that Kevin Smith doesn’t play tabletop RPGs. He’s known for hating improvisation in his films.
