Every time JEng pops up in these comments sections, I'm always intensely confused and then delighted when I realize that it's him.

What's this about Moses? Never heard of this before.

I can understand not liking the look of Rick and Morty because it has that “adult cartoon” look, but Gravity Falls is a gorgeous show, even for the background design alone.

(I find most 80s cartoons intolerably ugly, though, so I don’t understand this whole argument.)

This happened when I was cashiering at a TJ Maxx. I got stuck in a semi-hypnagogic state, half on the verge of sleep, ringing up imaginary customers for what felt like hours.

Jump, you say?

I thought the title track and "Tis a Pity" were both bompin' fun.

And beyond that, the "Snow White/Cinderella/Sleeping Beauty" mold LONG pre-dates the birth of the Disney Princess as a marketing entity in the late 90s. Those early princesses existed for about five decades before they became "Disney Princesses."

They're a Chris Sanders hallmark. My animation teacher refers to them as "prey eyes."

Do you have a link? I'm curious to know more about this guy after one of my gay friends read too much of his stuff and turned into an alt right maniac.

I'm not the type to enforce racial quotas on entertainment, but for a show that's literally about race half the time? Yeah, bring in multiple viewpoints for that. I'd say that even racists should understand the usefulness of that, from a purely pragmatic standpoint.

Consider this: there's the classic Indiana Jones trilogy, and then a sequel trilogy with only one episode.

Thanks dude! Mutual follow time

The death happened during the walkout last season, so probably they didn't notice because there were already lots of guards unaccounted for.

Damn! I hadn't connected the time machine angle to Poussey's flashback.

Some people on reddit were saying that there were other OITNB characters peppered throughout the sequence—they claimed that Sophia and Piper were in the club in the background, etc.

Oh, I know that. But I wasn't sure whether it was a totally accurate flashback, or a "retelling" with a layer of metaphor overlaid on top.

I thought it was an intentionally arbitrary choice—like, she just happened to be standing closest to where the gun fell. Once she picks it up though, in that atmosphere, she has to use it. No way she can de-escalate that situation.

I felt like it was a retelling of an actual night in her life, standing in metaphorically for a journey to the afterlife. There are some big stylistic differences (ie: looking directly into the camera, other supporting characters appearing in the background) that set it apart from the regular world of the show.

I don't think it's all that implausible that they would cross paths. That said, I interpreted it as intentionally ambiguous whether they crossed paths, or whether any of this had actually happened at all.

The gum bit wasn't a breath of fresh air to me—that was Piscatella's gum from last episode when he was being reprimanded by Caputo.
