Colonel, I mean no disrespect or anything, but you sound like a fucking doofus.

I believe they were supposed to be Thai accents, actually. Always thought that was oddly specific.

Episode 2 and 3, certainly. Episode 1 spent a bit more time outside.

I'd check out the Gas Station Rebate episode and the Hot Dog Stand episode. Both because they're each hysterically funny, and also because I think they satisfy some of the beats you're looking for.

I'm too busy to read the article right at this moment (I'll read it after class), but I'm so glad to see this subject addressed. The Short Circuit movies were some of my favorites as a kid, and I was so conflicted when I grew up and realized that Ben was a guy in brownface.

Hasn't everyone picked on Wil Wheaton?

The twist in Episode 8 is going to be that Chewie was just Han in a costume all along.

I've never understood that, either.

What?

Ooooh. "Two different timelines" had me thinking of Star Trek.

I heard he had a threesome! With two guys!

One-inch penis?

The thing is, most bad TOS episodes are still colorful enough and sufficiently over-the-top to be fun. I'll take a spectacularly silly episode like Spock's Brain or The Way to Eden over a bad episode of TOS.

Or at least French with an English accent.

"Nowadays, every TV show focuses on semen samples. Semen in the corpse, semen in the drapes, semen in the beards! It's pretty sweet."

I've always preferred TOS for this reason. It's got that essential Star Trek optimism, but it doesn't feel as straight-up Utopian as the later series.

Do we really want time travel to become the go-to solution for franchise reboots?

I actually really like the beat to this.
