I read that in Troy McClure's voice.
I've always loved that scene, but I'm more used to the syndicated version, which cuts out the Special K jokes and logo designs. I think a lot of the humor is in how quickly the whole thing starts and ends.
"there's stuff there like likes, unlike"
The cross-examination gave me flashbacks to the David Lynch scenes on Louie. Just a place of complete bafflement.
Damn, now I want to see more of her this season.
It was absolutely the first thing I thought of. Came here to post this: imgur.com/CFDoYM2

If Dipper does end up staying with Uncle Ford, the next season could take place a year later, when Mabel comes back to Gravity Falls to visit. It would be interesting to see the twins a year older, with a bit more of a distance from each other.
Not everyone opposes Christianity based on how "dumb" it is, some people dislike the cultural imperialism side of it. There's a huge qualitative difference between worshiping a ridiculous pagan idol on your own time and destroying someone else's idol just because you think your religion is superior.
I watched that movie right after a really obsessive Bowie phase, when I was trying to move onto something new, and little did I know… I thought I was hallucinating for a second when he popped up.
Eh, too much effort to build a microverse AND a micro-Dyson Sphere.
Have you watched Moral Orel? I've never had any desire to listen to the Mountain Goats on their own, but I think they're quite emotionally affecting on that soundtrack.
B-b-but, Chipotle?
To be fair, they DID get away with it.
I'm always confused by people who hate hip hop but revere classic rock as if it's somehow more respectable. Maybe the name "classic rock" lends an air of legitimacy that blinds people to how vulgar and dumb the lyrics actually are? (Just give "Stray Cat Blues" a listen and try to argue that rock is classier than hip…
80s Bowie tends to be very superficial, but I prefer the word "artifice" to "superficial" when discussing Bowie at his best. Songs like "Lady Grinning Soul" or "Bewlay Brothers" evoke a very strong emotional reaction in me, even if there's not much concrete meaning to their lyrics.
His jazz suites are really fun and bouncy. I study animation in college, and I find that they're really great to listen to while storyboarding out cartoons; it's hard to be in a bad mood when they're on.
I couldn't finish it either, but I do REALLY enjoy his essays. Give "A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again" a shot.
fuck off man, matisse is a great font
