Not Beastie Boys but it also fits.
More like your back alley, am I-hey, wait, where ya going?
Man. I was all for this guy till the last part. Goddammit, now he’s an asshole.
Everytime I hear them, it just makes me want to listen to Led Zeppelin. I hear like 30 seconds of Hightway Song or whatever it’s called and then I switch over to In My Time of Dying. They need to mix in something else to get a stew going.
I will always +1 any Bruce Lee reference
Relevant.
Not a big fan of “Vonn’s career was also unfortunately defined by injuries.” It’d be better to let her success define her career. Maybe replace with plague?
This is an unfair question because it’s definitely skewed by what you watched as kid when you had enough free time to just rewatch the same movies over and over (in which case it’s probably Captain Ron...ok, as an adult, I’d still watch Captain Ron).
I mean, how much muscle you develop is partially determined by your genes and body type. I can testify as a tall, skinny guy who goes to gym regularly, muscles don’t come easy for me and there are other guys who will ever have a six-pack or calves. That being said, Terry did the work and it shows. Doesn’t matter what…
So you’re basically Meat Loaf is what your saying?
I learned recently that Central City was originally where Athens, Ohio is, which makes no sense because Athens is basically a college town and it ain’t got no skyscrapers. I guess they’ve since moved it to Missouri, so maybe it’s supposed to be like St. Louis or Kansas City now, which kinda makes my brain hurt less.
You’re pretty spot on with my interpretation; it springs from thinking, “How can they retcon all the weird shit that happened in MoS in order to make Superman fun again for future movies without rebooting the whole fucking mess. And while I think MoS is a little more consistant than you give credit for, you pretty…
I think the inconsistency can work in Jonathon’s case, but someone needs to point it out and reveal that even though Jonathon was paranoid and afraid, it was only out of love for his son, and that he actually embodied those virtues that Clark values, which he see by his actions. But yeah, all other weird…
Dennis O’Neil described Gotham as,“Manhattan below Fourteenth Street at eleven minutes past midnight on the coldest night in November,”so you’re in good company.
That’s funny, because growing up I always thought Gotham was supposed to be Chicago and Metropolis was NYC. And more to your other point, Gotham and Metropolis have always been pretty close to each other; it’s not just BvS that has them across the bay from each other.
I enjoy the movie on certain level as it is (I think I have comment on it somewhere in this mess). I just view the film as a fixer-upper. But thanks for the warning! I’ve always felt there’s a really good movie in Man of Steel. It just might be in smaller details that I’ve missed.
All in a day’s work, good citizen!
It would’ve also been a wildly cool decision to have her opposite the much younger Routh, both from a general inverting the standard Hollywood age gap standpoint (the Marvel movies have actually been subtly good about this!)
