That’s a good reading, but I’m not sure the film is clear enough on that. It’d be better if Clark and Jon were fighting over specifically if he should be helping people with his powers rather than the vague fight they had. It’d also be better if Martha made it clear that Jon was not only wrong but a hypocrite (after al

What Jonathan should’ve taught Clark is that yes, you should use your powers to help people, but the moment you reveal them you’ll also be feared and distrusted. Therefore, Clark should only reveal himself when he’s ready.

Near as I can figure, Snyder was trying to make Clark’s decision to save people spring from his own sense of responsibility as opposed to just doing what his two dad’s told him to do. Problem is, we never get a scene where Clark states why he saves people; he just kinda does.

I feel this movie need to add or adjust maybe just a few scenes and it’d be a lot better. As it stands, it’s okay but never really earns any of the emotional moments. Somehow, it feels less emotional than a Christopher Nolan movie, which is an accomplishment of sorts.

This is a weird movie for me because before this movie, I didn’t particularly care for Superman. I’d watched the Bruce Timm series as a kid and I’d read the Death of Superman, but the character never spoke to me, at least at the time. Then I saw this and it kinda changed my mind, but not because the movie was good.

People tend to forget how much modern interpretations of Superman comes from the movies. For example, Smallville was originally within driving distance of Metropolis. It wasn’t until the Superman came out that it was relocated to the midwest.

Not true. Sometimes there’s a deuce too.

To build off your point, what bugs me is that they do the underdog bit before games and then whip around and brag about rings if they win. They keep switching between being underdogs and top-dog. Just pick a dog, dammit!

To be fair, I’m not sure he was any bones at all.

During a hockey game in which I was playing as he was sending me to the penalty box

Glad to hear your dad was still getting some action at that age.

I was gonna say you’re arguing against a straw-man here, but the amount of people who’re staning for Majora here makes me kinda agree with you, vis-a-vis fans of Majora (the character, not the game).

I haven’t seen all the shows, so I can’t rank ‘em, but I watched Punisher. Iron Fist was at least entertaining in how bad it was. Punisher was boring. How can you have a show about a guy who’s sole purpose is grindhouse violence and then have episodes go by where nothing happens?

The Lady in the Lake is probably my personal favorite, but The Long Goodbye is definitely his best work. The film is pretty good too.

Eh, I think it all depends on what you’re there for. Movies like these are less about story and more about the set-pieces, so as long as they keep those fresh and spectacular, I wouldn’t mind seeing more and more. Besides, Keaunu does such a good job of playing an emotional wreck of a man, who wouldn’t feel some

Oh, then they can play that Bonnie Tyler song! The commercials writes itself! Till the get sued for violating copyright law by not paying for the rights to the song. . .then Bakerfield gets fat eating sandwiches. . .and then footage surfaces of Gregg Williams running over an opposing quarterback with his pick-up

So Trevorrow is saying he doesn’t know about the packs of coyotes that are living in cities across America, or that grizzly bears and moose are regular visitors to the suburbs of Anchorage, or that wildlife tends to inhabit the same areas as people and just adjust their schedules around ours. Got it.

The fact your “bottom” tier is at the top of the spread-sheet is driving me crazy. Flip it!

I’m just gonna pretend that last photo is from when Bond got busted down to corgi-secret-service detail after he fucked up yet another mission. Call it Corgi Eyes Only.
