It takes my home induction stove about 6 minutes to boil 1 gallon of water so 75 hours will be a hell of a lot of boiling water.

This is what I was thinking
Or what about how they will fare in a hail storm...
Another big area that gives clunks on the drive line is the front axle hub flange. As it wears, it allows a bit of play between the flange and the CV axle. PN 4342160030
Do realize that is just their conversion kit with most of the bits needed to do the convert the engine? It doesn’t include the engine.
My brother in law made almost 500k a year for a while in the oil fields. The trades can pay well. He was definitely a Jeep guy.
They probably will if this sells well...
There will be a ton of these on the trails in Colorado. Just because you like Jeeps doesn’t mean you are cheap or don’t have a large budget. AEV has been selling V8 conversions for a while now and they are spendy (~25k+). There are plenty of them on the trails. I would imagine this truck will also have uprated axles…
Seems like many CAD and engineering jobs should be created though!
I don’t really understand why these would be double the price of a diesel bus. The new Hummer will have a 200kw pack and a huge motor. It will cost $120k with a luxury car added to the battery/motor. Where is the additional expense coming from on these that there is a $200,000 upcharge from a diesel school bus?
It would take a while to swap out 480,000 buses. The best part is you swap out the buses that aren’t the exception to the rule first.
With that sort of time in the car, I would want a car that chomps miles and not a sports car. I would say to go with a used LS460, but the fuel mileage is a real consideration. Because of that, I would instead go with a ES300H. ~40 MPG and super quiet and comfortable on the interstate.
There is a member of Rising Sun in Denver that dropped a Stout body on a 3rd gen 4Runner. Finished it a few months ago and it is pretty freaking awesome. He actually uses it too. It also fixes the issue of not being able to find parts, but wanting to drive a Stout.
I am really curious why the Mercedes Dual View screens were never adopted. A single screen that could show 2 different displays based on the viewing angle? That sounded awesome. It would also keep the appearance of the center stack clean.
It looks quite awkward from most angles. There really aren’t very many good angles on this.
This feels somewhat reductionist. Most likely, the higher income earners will subsidize the lower income earners by paying higher rates. What would be possible for people at the worldwide median income if all of the sudden they were able to sell their products, services and time over the internet? I would imagine it…
Just for kicks, I ran the numbers for the 6 year loan at 1.9 for a purchase price of $28155. It was $414.86. Or ~$5 more a month than the 7 year loan at 5.9%. This just makes me sad for the dealers who will push this 7 year loan on fiscally ignorant buyers because the loan probably has a better incentive kick back to…
Is the roof rail and other marble looking components supposed to be that fancy Lamborghini carbon fiber?
This is what I was coming to say. You already said it though. Dave is dealing with people who are struggling with consumption addictions. They require concrete rules to find success in overcoming the addiction.
The vehicle is an asset. The loan (if present) is a liability.
