Did this headline not feel exceedingly misleading to you? You literally quote an Italian official confirming Italy’s awareness of the need for EVs. How exactly did you come to the conclusion that Italy doesn’t care about climate change?

Funny - I have 401k matching, paid holidays, paid vacation, health benefits and do NOT work for a union.  Never have.  I wouldn’t be where I am today if I was a union worker, as seniority is taken over hard work, hustling, or performing beyond your peers.

Not sure why they’re tearing it down, now that the road is closed just hit it with a truck going the other direction

Maybe the pilot has just had a long fucking day and wants to have a cigarette in peace without a bunch of whiny bitch-ass passengers complaining about the smell and how smoking and flying is “dangerous” and you should have your hands at 10 and 2 or whatever on the yoke. I mean, fuck off.

From my personal experience its that the F150 simply lacks the mass to tow 12,000lbs of trailers at higher speeds. Mine was a 04 hitting the scales at 5,600ish without anyone or anything in it. Heaviest total rig weight was 15,000 lbs with a 1/4 tank. (what I had when I hit a mandatory weight station). That was enough

I was thinking the same thing, along with an electric drive system to take some of the burden off of the vehicle...

Every time we encounter a turtle on the road, we pull over and pick it up so it won’t get hurt.

Nothing too unusual: paint sprayer, newspaper-covered bumpers and lights, etc. But, for some reason, my brain always focused on this:

Right, I just think from an attorney’s perspective you always want cover your butt so to speak and if you are going to use your cell phone recording as evidence in a legal by announcing you are recording it you immediatly take away any counter arguments that the recording was unlawful.

Mr. Whitney says that as long as the other person is aware you are recording, you avoid issues with local laws.

This is bullshit. How the hell am I supposed justify purchasing a cigarette jack-powered electronic butt warmer without a leather seat that inevitably feels colder than Vladivostok in mid-winter anytime it’s less than 60 degrees out?

Seriously, the crossover of people with money and a dirt lifestyle is HUGE.

Todd wins.  The Honda Element was the correct answer.

Its my personal opinion that this is the real place for EV’s right now. Not to say that I don’t think the electric vehicle isn’t the future. What I mean is that if you have limited resources, you put them to best use first. The truth is that we can’t scale up EV vehicles with the current battery technology right now,

I’m not sure about paint, but I’m pretty sure you can get retro-reflective vinyl.

I KNOW WHAT THIS IS!

Smell that delicious, delicious lobby money from the Auto dealers. Michigan is going to skull fuck itself out of future automotive investment if it plays hardball here and will deserve every bit of the backlash it gets.

Fantastic engineering by these things, especially considering the sheer size!

How about start making them not look like they were tacked on as an afterthought. It should be built into the dash if it has to be there.

The tech doesn’t matter here because the system, even if it was the absolute latest, is still a level 2 semi-autonomous system and that simply does not work well with how people actually work. Vigilance tasks like this are not compatible with the need for split-second decision making. This isn’t just me saying this;
