How about just a shot for shot remake of Awakenings, except intersplice it with additional scenes of Sandman’s imprisonment and escape by Burgess.

I think he’d at least change the song to be Mr. Sandman.
The one thing that gave good promise was the thief character, Hutch, using his inanimate carbon rod... errr, teleportation rod to kill someone offscreen. That scene redefined the expected use of his powers, and that kind of creativity and exploration of powers was pretty interesting, whereas everything else was pretty…
An ice cream place near me makes a kulfi flavored ice cream, which has pistachios and cardamom. It’s the best one they make. Definitely give it a try!
It sounds like the discrimination happened with his immediate supervisor; not on a company-wide level. But still, that discrimination shouldn’t exist, and to have been there since 94 (not sure when he was last promoted) and seeing others advance is really disheartening and insulting.
Did you grind up black sesame to make a paste, or did you find some black sesame paste? I tried once grinding my own and I wasn't a fan of the grainy texture (but yes, it's delicious).
This sounds awesome! Have you tried comparing different brands or types of wine, and do they have any noticeable difference?
@Stacey I’m sure you’ll probably dive into it in a future column, but what have been your favorite creative recipes?
She’s as cold as ice
I like to go to Concourse A, which is a hike if you’re anywhere else in the airport. But if you have the time, WELL WORTH the walk. NoDA is there, and when I last traveled for work (late 2019) I got beer to go from here. Super overpriced, but the customer was paying.
Are you a 90 year old commuter?
Dick Cheney.
It takes about 8 or 9 episodes for them to find their footing. A lot of the early episodes have more confrontational humor (everything with Chris Elliott), but it shifts focus to everyone being legitimately good people while still being a comedy, and it’s just a fully uplifting series.
If we’re talking separate trips to the same city, then I’ll usually visit at least one of the places I loved from the previous trip. For a decade I did yearly trips to the same two cities in Germany, and after having mediocre experiences at a lot of places, by the end I was just going to the same places where I at…
In San Sebastian, Spain, you go pintxos hopping from place to place, only ordering one or two things at each. Theres one place thats known for the shrimp skewers. I went once every night I was there, to the point that they knew me by the end of my trip.
So then was it considered shooting ourselves in the foot when Emma Stone played a Chinese-Hawaiian person in Aloha?
Yeah, but the man’s name? Herb.
The one I never have on hand, and always seemingly need, is buttermilk.
I’d often wondered if you could carbonate iced coffee with CO2. Last year I finally gave it a shot. DO NOT DO THIS. All the harsh, bitter flavors hit you upfront, like a caffeinated punch to the throat. It’s nothing like nitro coffee. Stupid large CO2 bubbles.
