It seems like a variation of a standard spanish tapas. Probably a dollop of aioli would resolve the dryness. 

I think this explains why I didn’t like Nailed It. 

The Sussex Pond Pudding was a terrible choice for the technical challenge. If I recall correctly, they said it needs 2 hours in the oven (or if not that, then they at least said each one needed more time). Didn’t they only have 2 1/2 hours for the challenge? If no one can pull it off, then what are you judging them…

This year is my 20th but nothing was planned (not sure if it would have happened even without Covid, though). The 10 year reunion was kind of a debacle. They tried to organize it but it was going to be either $75 or $100, plus they heavily advertised it as a big club event, with one of the graduating class members…

I made a habanero based hot sauce last fall and I still have a large mason jar’s worth of it in my fridge. I need to go through that soon, because I have more currently fermenting and ready to sauce up this month. It’s good, but it’s too hot for day to day use and too hot for my wife, so it only comes out for certain…

We loaded up on macoun this year from the local orchards, and I’m a convert. I also enjoy courtland, but man, macoun is fantastic; sweet and crisp. 

That’s what I did in 2016. My girlfriend (now wife) wanted me to come over and watch the election results with her and her roommate. If things went as expected, it would be a fun night, but if Trump were to somehow win, it would be a terrible experience and I’d have to wake up miserable and hung over at 5am the next…

I go between Penzeys and My Spice Sage. I’ll get stuff at local places too (bodegas, asian market, indian stores, and a local armenian market) but on a few occassions, the spices have tasted muted or bland, and I’ve never had that problem with Penzeys.
