So grateful for having a dad that loved action movies and didn't really care that I watched them with him despite all the blood, violence and swearing. As long as I covered my eyes while the boobies were out (peeking through my fingers, natch) then I was good to go.

That was such a fun watch. I remember watching the MIA movies, American Ninja movies and of course Masters of the Universe as a kid. That doc makes me want to check out a lot of the ones I hadn't heard about before.

Just wanted to say that this is, by far, my favorite AV Club feature. I bought Rolling Thunder just based on the write up and comments on it a few months ago.

Sigh. When I was a kid and the consoles kept getting better and better I would keep giving my old consoles away to my younger cousins and whatnot each time I upgraded. Got a SNES? Gives away the NES. Gets PS1, gives away SNES. Gets Playstation 2 etc, etc. I really wish I hadn't done that.
