I don’t think the specs have changed. They just had more than one source for the batteries and are now most likely only using the source that didn’t have faulty batteries. Since it should be the same, battery life will be pretty good and charging will be pretty fast.

You’re right. This one and the Motorola Surfboard SB6141 are both limited to 100 Mbps by Time Warner where I live. I have the 6141 and was originally “grandfathered” into a 200 Mbps tier, but when I moved it was dropped down and they won’t allow me to upgrade to anything higher without new hardware.
