In the 90's I had the pleasure of taking part in a NATO exercise in Denmark, and boy those Homeguard soldiers really kicked ass! I had a couple of chances to see scandinavian soldiers in action and all I can say is these guys are highly trained, skilled and motivated. Great guys to have on our side :)
