That blocker looks like standard for Paratroop drops. Something similar can be found on other planes doing that, but these blockers usually are located inside and can be turned into the doorway.

Having served as a machine gunner in the Bundeswehr paratroops, I can tell you: even with blanks those still sound fearsome. And since you usually group a bunch together (think ambush) you get pure MG3 porn.
