This seems like kind of a dumb complaint. I mean sure back in the 80's you didn't have social media and more people who were famous were legit actors and such. But at the same time you could still get famous by going on Star Search or The Gong Show of To Tell the Truth or some other bullshit. And it's not like

Yea I don't think she is wrong, because I don't think you can stop technology. You just need to figure out a way to use it to your advantage. Years ago I listened to a great podcast on inventions. One episode was on the computer spreadsheet program. It talked about how those programs eliminated hundreds of thousands

I love Parks and Rec but I am not even sure that Ben and Leslie are even the Mike Schur connected couple, much less the greatest sitcom couple. For Mike Schur couples I think I give the edge to Amy and Jake from Brooklyn 99. And maybe even Seth and Summer from The OC (Schur was a guest star on the show and his wife

I can see how they wouldn’t want to hurt show sales, but is there anyone who wants to see Wicked live how hasn’t. The Canadian touring version has come through my city at least once (was supposed to come through again a few years ago but got cancelled by the pandemic).

Every time I hear about the Wicked movie being made in 2024 I think of the Simpsons episode where Krusty retires where the reporter asks him "Why now, why not 20 years ago", because I can't believe they waited this long to make this movie.  That would be like making a CSI movie today.

15 best moments and no Jean-Ralphio? But good choice not including any moments with his sister, since she is the wooorrrrst.

It was the stereotypical 80's New York tough guy who wasn’t a nerd but was also surprisingly really smart. That guy is now CEO of Paramount pictures.

Well one of the other actors from Head of the Class (the guy who wasn't a nerd) was previously the head of Nickelodeon and is now the CEO of Paramount pictures. So that probably helped his career.

I was hoping it was a movie version of the Traveling Wilburys song.

It is so weird that a certain percentage of fans will freak out about casting a beautiful woman in a comic book movie.

I thought Frankie Muniz didn't remember most or possibly all of his time filming Malcolm in the Middle?

The fact that this movie wasn't greenlit the Monday after No Way Home premiered but instead Sony decided to make a Morbius movie and a Madame Web movie is like exhibit A for how movie studio bosses are stupid.

Depends, have they run out of people who can comment on Nickelodeon shows and the issues behind the scenes? I wonder if Rebel Wilson has any comments about Sam & Cat? If she did this whole place might implode.

Just not worrying about it is probably the best attitude to have. Although while it might not be the worst Ghostbusters movie is absolutely is the worst movie starring Melissa McCarthy directed by Paul Feig. Although it is still better than any Melissa McCarthy movie directed by her husband. The point being there are

Sure, it's just weird that it seems like every other article here is about inappropriate behaviour behind the scenes at Nickelodeon shows.

Wow did AV Club really mention a Nickelodeon kid's show without talking about any behind the scenes misconduct?

Someone should check old interviews with Matthew Perry, maybe he had some thoughts on Nickelodeon shows when he was still alive.

Wow, the AV Club is getting so much mileage out of Quiet on the Set someone might think that Olivia Wilde was directing those Nickelodeon shows.

That seems like a part of the story that could use more of an explanation. Like what is the point of even having an actor's union if someone who was the star of a show on a major cable channel, that ran for 4 seasons doesn't get residuals? If it is that easy to get around a collective bargaining contract, it seems

I don't really get it. All she (or her agent) would have to do was look at any of the Sony spiderman movies without spiderman to see that they aren't some kind of fancy art thing. And even the Venom movies which were the best received weren't very good.
