That has been happening for a while, and certainly seems like it is getting worse. The big blockbusters are getting bigger and more expensive and the little movies are getting tiny. So there is a bigger in-between range of movies that don't exist. Like looking at box office mojo for July and August, where are the date

So the WGA goes on strike because they want better pay from the networks/studios/streamers for their members (which is fine) but where are they in cases like this where a show runner who is also very likely a WGA member is terrible in how they treat their staff. Since this is far from the first time we have heard this

It's not really clear who is getting paid. The article talks about the writing staff but the quote from Indiewire talks about the non-writing staff. Plus shouldn't the writers be getting strike pay from the WGA?

I think part of the thing with people only coming to the movies for “must see events” is that everything that comes out tries to be a must see event. So Hollywood only released less than 50% of the number of movies that they did in summer 2019, but they still tried to release a bunch of blockbusters. So that makes me

I am surprised she knows she hasn't been in any recent marvel movies. I seem to remember articles from a few years ago where she had no idea that she was in the ones she was actually in.

Is Charlie's Angels really plum IP waiting to be rebooted or is it just some show from the 70's  that people liked at the time (because there weren't that many choices) but no one really cares about now.  Maybe it's like how it is not surprising that no one (as far as I know) is trying to maks a new version of There's

One thing the article doesn’t really seem to consider is the possibility that the show isn’t very good. Streamers already get criticized for filling their services with a ton of content with a lot of it being crap. Maybe this is one of them recognizing that less crap isn’t really a bad thing.

HER GHOST!

Large Marge sent me.

Wow he was only 79? Just shows what kind of crazy toll wrestling takes on a person’s body, since I remember watching him with Foley during the attitude era and he looked super old then. But he would have only been in his mid-50's.

Pixar seems like they are in a tough spot. For a few years it seemed like they were getting a lot of criticism for focusing on sequels, even though some of them were great like TS3 and Incredibles 2. Now they are mostly focusing on new stuff getting criticism for it not being as good as the previous stuff. Even though

I only vaguely remember this, but wasn't there talk at one point about doing a live action Star Wars show on ABC? It might have been when Lucas was still around though so maybe Disney didn't cancel that one.

I read somewhere recently that for Transformers the movie from 1986 they decided to have a character say "shit" because that would guarantee them a PG rating. Which they wanted since movie theaters had more slots throughout the day for PG movies so they could make more money.

The silliness wasn’t even the worst thing for me about Love and Thunder. The worst thing was that in a world with flying cars, interstellar travel, arc reactors and time travel, cancer is still a serious disease that people actually get.

Every time I hear about this story it always blows my mind that Baldwin passed on a Tina Fey/Robert Carlock created 30 Rock spin off and made this little indie western instead. Because the Ted Danson show Mr. Mayor was supposed to be about Jack Donaghy and set in NYC.

I would still be surprised. The guy who played Darth Vader in return of the Jedi had profit participation in his contract but has never seen any of that money thanks to Hollywood Accounting. The Harry Potter movies have also famously never made a profit.

If it makes him feel any better that 2.5% of the "net proceeds" very likely worked out to zero dollars.

A wife having that important a job doesn't sound much like traditional marriage to me.

Not sure about Luanne. I mean she was dumb and easy to manipulate but she also seemed very caring. I am not sure she would be ok with some of Trump’s comments about women or the disabled or immigrants. And any things that other voters might see as “good” would probably be things she didn’t care about.

Is he really dead or is that just what he wants us (and the government) to think?
