For me, this was the real news of the night. Life as a DBFz player has never been easy, but it is nice to hear that they’re going to do some balance changes on top of rollback. It’s almost like the remaining player base is sick of the 21/Gogeta/Vegito shell teams :p

If you’re not on the opposite side of the globe (GMT-5 NY time), let me know. I’ve been wanting to lance up with people, and I happen to know my ABCs and my PPCs.

unrelated: Mechwarrior 5 rules.

I find allegory is often the best of both worlds. imo.

RDR2 serves as another great example on how unnecessary and mundane actions doesn’t serve your game if it’s not relevant to the core loop.

Exactly this, and I think that’s everyone’s view on BG&E2. There’s still not a lot of clarity on what the game is supposed to be, and we’d all be happier talking about and eventually playing Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom or Starfield or whatever. And yet, we keep getting these periodic reminders that BG&E2 is somehow

Ya think? I figured it was the inverse. In spite of BG&E being a pretty good, cult classic, I don’t think there’s many people in the world climbing up the walls in anticipation of a follow-up. Ubisoft just keeps going out of its way to remind us that BG&E2 is supposed to be a thing. It’s become less of a promise and

It works to a point. I’m finding that I’m less and less inclined to clicking on articles, especially when we get at least 2 posts a day on a TV show, plus twitch streamer nobody ever heard of.

Yes, it's a kotaku slow news day. Let's make up a low-key controversy by claiming that fans are upset over a classic costume that's sill available. PROFIT$$$$

Oh, I see. I get that. It’s one of the reasons why i make a point to separate my work space from my “gaming space”, as i never want the two things to become synonymous.

This whole line of dialogue (elden ring and some point that it makes to an industry that’s not listening) kind of has me scratching my head, because I’m not entirely sure what lesson to take away from this. This is largely because... I’m not really sure what to make of From Software’s DS series. To be clear, it’s one

Ummm... we obviously have different expectations as to how well game should perform (the PS4 Pro was a really terrible excuse for a console on account of the ridiculous amount of input latency the thing had, and that’s just my topline complaint), but I’ve gotta ask... why add latency to a game by streaming it when you

Valve wouldn’t be Valve if they could get out of their own way :p

If I were a woman, I don’t know how i could encounter such a thing without throwing my used tampon over it. Give the bible-thumping assholes a body to mourn.

As a side-note, the two games that... just works freaking gloriously on the Steam Deck are the first two Dead Spaces. I can actually get Dead Space 2 at 2k, mid-spec and it runs without issue. It’s one of the few games I’ve found that can perform well on the Deck at that level of fidelity.

And that is fair. I also hear FFXIV (a game I’ve never played) cited as a counter example.

Breaking News: Square Enix finally releases some fixes for a crappy pc port that went unaddressed for six or more months.

After having spent a couple months with the Steam Deck, I find that I’m not a big believer in... this iteration, at least. Don’t get me wrong, they’re nifty, but I always run into the same issue: games run at well below desired performance. Obviously, this is a handheld PC, so... you know, limitations are going to

Still the king...

Funny enough, I was watching a review of Returnal the other day, and the chief complaint was that the game lacked rpg elements, so the player would have to mostly grind skill rather than perks.
