Can someone tell me if this show ever found its footing? It had some neat ideas and character concepts, but every season was just one, big, long identity crisis. I had to tap out after Michelle Yeoh moved onto bigger and better things.

And that in my mind is the real tragedy here. Cuz the thing about PD2 is that... THERE WAS A GOOD GAME IN THERE! Buried deep, under tons of shitty mechanics, lackluster design and of course, the live service aspect. I always felt if they could break out of their own confining framework, that it could’ve been the next…
But journalism is haaaaaaaard, and it’s just so much easier to fabricate some controversy ~ Kotaku 2024
I had that thought on SC, but I was also just thinking on mainstream fighting games of the current gen. Sorry, I probably should’ve been clearer on that front. SC hasn’t really been a household name in a couple generations, with recent entries kind of going unnoticed in favor of Tekken.
Yup. God love Capcom and their complete inability to look inward.
Oh, for sure. I don’t expect to ever see another Darkstalker/VS. That doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t make one, especially considering that Capcom’s idea of “conventional wisdom” is totally flawed. That’s why they wrote off SF3, even though it lived on to be one of the highest regarded fighting game series of all…
I’ll definitely be interested to see where Hideki Kamiya lands next after leaving Platinum. His sensibilities always really stand out in his games!
My vote would go to a new Darkstalker/Vampire Savior. I think with SF6 having cemented its place as the defacto 2D fighting game of the current gen (you may or may not feel this way), there’s room for something that steers into anime fighters a bit harder, especially since it feels like MVC is probably in remission.…
Not before you had a diaper-baby, piss fit :D
I.... guess...
Just your daily reminder on what gamers say and what they do are often times completely different. :p Boy, we’re a feckless bunch!
How many of your responses did dipshit-mcgee dismiss? :D
It’s so strange that you said that!
LMFAO!!! Aaaand, there it is! Thanks for playing! <3
It’s kinda strange that you already forgot that you implied that the poster was rooting for trump. If you had, you might’ve realized that that’s what they were responding to.
It is strange for you to assert that Biden, a cis white man who has been powerful longer than I have been alive, has been put on a glass cliff. How do you figure that one? He has not been set up for failure here. He ran for president and won, and is running for president again and trying to win again.
I think the thing that we’re all annoyed about is that SOMEHOW, Biden was placed on a glass cliff, which is strange, considering that he’s a cis white man. While potentially legitimate (jury is still out, over here), it’s so close to the trees that it’s got a redwood half-way up its own ass. Jezebel may as well have…
Of all the games that have gone quiet or absent over the years, SSX is the one that I feel the most, ESPECIALLY since it never got a PC port of any kind. I don’t even know if I want a sequel so much as ports of SSX3. Just update the control mappings (utilizing the analogue stick and d-pad in tandem is a bit awkward),…
Nice to see that they’re allowing for some visual filter options. For some reason, Frictional games tend to give me a headache, which is weird, because I generally don’t have this issue. SOMA in particular gave it to me bad, and I think it had something to do with weird frame pacing.
I’m pretty sure the British invented smugness :p
