I’m from Maryland, a blue state with a Republican governor because the local Democrats were so crappy- so I get that. But I know it’s not like that everywhere.

Dubya at least meant well, even if he were being controlled by Darth Cheney (hey, dad says he’s good people!). I never thought I’d say this, but I’d take him any day over Cheeto Hitler.

Yeah, I think he expected them to be rational. I think he keeps expecting them to be rational for some reason. I have no idea why.

I totally agree. The Republicans have a vicious playbook, and it’s been gangbusters. The Democrats have “not burning down the world,” but it only works sometimes. They need a playbook. they need unity, and they need action.

Jinx! Didn’t see your response:D

How? I’m not being snarky, I’m genuinely curious.

Have you listened to Elizabeth Warren tearing the Wells Fargo CEO a new one, or one of Bernie’s rants? Expressing righteous anger is not a bad thing. We need it sometimes.

Yep. I was hoping for some sort of fire and brimstone, or SOME sort of emotion. I mean, it’s great that he is calm, cool, and collected, but we’re going over a cliff here.

There’s a difference between standing up to someone and bullying them. The Democrats have just been allowing themselves to be steamrolled. I’m not saying play dirty, but, FFS, they need to get MAD.

That’s the thing that pisses me off about the Democrats, they always try to play nice. They keep trying to find common ground and listen. They’re dealing with children. They have to stop being nice and kowtowing to these fucking pissbaby toddlers.

The girls even claimed they had no idea that they were being marketed as a gay couple, when in fact they were both totally straight.

I know. I know I shouldn’t be rooting for a criminal, but damn...I want to have a drink with this lady so much.

Uh uh, you can’t tell him nothin.’

Heh- yeah, out of context that’s perfect:D

Yeah!!! Like, he’d go on his rants and she’d be there saying “Uh, hon...”

I’ll have to check that out, thanks!

I feel this way about Lovecraft. I discovered him as a teenager and fell in love with his work, though found the racism in some of his stories uncomfortable. Now, since I’ve read more about his life, I find it very difficult to enjoy him anymore. Dude wasn’t just a “racist for his time” racist, he was militant. I love

For me it depends on whether the artists were actual violent criminals. Bill Cosby- drugging and raping people is a deal-breaker for me. Ditto Polanski. Now, if the artists were just jerks, that may color my perception, but if their work can transcend that, I can look past it. Dickens was an epically terrible husband

Well, he watched incoherent, false, random tweeting put Trump in the White House, so I can see why he did it...
