Hey Kotaku, Luke, Patricia, et al.

Game of the Year. Absolutely.

The combat is the conversations. Best RPG ever. Love it immensely.

Badger and Skinny Pete are amazing friends.

I didn’t think that the discussion about sexualisation in video game was about womens self image. I don’t know any woman who likes video games who longs for looking like a pre-teen looking dragon girl who is secretly 1000 years old or having breasts so big that they take up the vast majority of their body.

I thought it

I would be curious to see an off-shoot of this study that attempts to measure how the sexualization of female characters impacts the cis-male gamer. Does looking at and playing as overly sexualized females change how real-life women are viewed?

Okay so the creator of this is absolutely a cat person. Because

It amazes me how few people remember her chaining up her dragons. I think that whole story arc took up more show time than it's taken her to go straight into caricature territory.

There’s a difference between being ruthless and being completely insane.

The problem is, we’re willing to make the nuanced point that Dany breaking bad is fine, it was just handled poorly, where the other side is happy that “bad woman is bad”.  We’re never going to see eye to eye.

Are people forgetting that Dany chained and consigned her own dragons to death because they killed an innocent civilian?

I agree with you 100% Jason.
People are fucking stupid. I am tired of arguing.

Correct me if I am wrong, but hasn’t Daenerys been telling everyone she meets that she wants to be better than her father? That she wanted to “leave this world better than she found it”? I mean she even lectures Yara that on their violent way of life and says “no more”.

I am also one who believes that this killing was out of character, and I don’t see how decimating the city AFTER winning it helped her in any way. The people were clearly terrified. There was a freaking dragon screeching above them. The army threw their weapons down without even receiving orders to surrender. The

For all of... two episodes? Come on. The rationale basically just boils down to “She went crazy because Targaryen” which is complete weaksauce.

She was built up through the course of the show as “Stannis with Dragons”, in 1.5 episodes they said “j/k shes a actually Joffery with Dragons”.

You should “PayAttentionPlease”. Not once has Dany ever KILLED 10,000s of innocent civilians??? She even said last season, when Ollena told her she needed to be feared, that she wouldn’t be the “queen of ashes” or whatever. This is an incredibly rushed ending to her story, if you want to say anything positive about

You should listen to the podcast, but short version: There’s a big difference between burning down the Red Keep and indiscriminately killing civilians. This would be a whole different conversation if Daenerys had gone straight for Cersei, killing innocents in her quest to kill the woman who usurped the throne and

this is an incel free space. move along.
