You’re right, but it’s a fallacy that corporate performance has any direct tie to price. Most companies don’t pay dividends anymore so there is no direct monetary benefit to “owning” a portion of a company through stocks, other than the fact that people assign a value to it for any number of arbitrary reasons and it

Well, police have distorted statistics by essentially including all prostitution under the umbrella of “trafficking.

... or they are all in the same privileged echo chamber listening to their neighbors stories and believing them to be true. They then target the brown people to be the evil in their own stories so they can be part of the cool kids club.

Yep. Called that shit the minute I saw it... because that kind of crap doesn’t happen anywhere except the minds of crazy white people.

99%+ of the world is employed in things that are not “important.” The world is being economically and sociologically ruined because all of these non- “important” things are closed. So, yes we need movies and other non-important industries if we want the world to get back to normal.

wtf?

Instead cancelling student loan debt, they need to change the law that makes student loan debt on equal footing with all other debt and able to be cancelled by bankruptcies.

The Republican Party has firmly aligned themselves with the extreme right... and it cost them nothing. (In fact they gained seats in the House.) Trump lost, but that is because he is incompetent idiot, not because of his extreme viewpoints. If it weren’t for COVID, he would have won. This country is on shaky ground

When I bought my home I purposefully avoided Google Assistant despite the fact that it is probably the most capable Voice Control currently available. Why? Because I don’t trust Google to support their products. They have ADD when it come to developing things. They have smart engineers and develop a ton of promising

True. I got fired for “drinking on the job” because I had a beer on an unpaid lunch hour. I applied for disability and my employer contested it. The state (California) ruled in my favor and I got unemployment benefits.

But, that’s EXACTLY what this is. It’s just wrapped up in a shiny package with all the bells and whistles of luxury trucks. Ford’s first EV will likely look like the Raptor (Especially if the Hummer is successful)

This is a terrible take.

It’s actually a TERRIBLE idea. Soundbars/Speakers are devices that can/should be used for years and years without issue. Tying that legacy technology to whether a company chooses to continue supporting it, or not, and can make it worthless just by discontinuing software updates is asinine.

The problem is that the penalty is monetary at all. These are multi-billion dollar corporations. A few million dollars off their books doesn’t mean anything to them. The CEO and anyone involved in actively hiding the data should be arrested for manslaughter and thrown in jail for 25+ years. They were warned it was

You just increase registration fees on EV to the average mileage of 15000 miles per year. $300 per year per vehicle by your calculations. No need to overcomplicate it.

Tesla Model 3 is already “affordable” depending on how you look at it. It has a lower cost of ownership than a Camry, because EVs are considerably cheaper to run and maintain. They just suffer from sticker shock. As prices continue to drop with advancements in the EV industry it will become plainly simple to see

OMG, the California government will NEVER figure that out. /s

Only Southern Californian’s say “the 101" and “the 5.” Northern Californians just say 101 or 5.

It doesn’t make any sense to keep running ICE vehicles, except for the reluctance of the oil/auto industry to keep it alive. Green power is ALREADY cheaper than dirty power and prices are still dropping is new and developing.

Well, California has also mandated that all new homes constructed after January 2020 must have solar installed. They will likely take other more aggressive efforts to spur increases in renewable energy added to the grid.
