Yep, 5'10.5 here and everyone doesn’t believe me when I say that... I was get “Oh no, you are like 6'1" Too many 5'6ers claiming 5'9 and 5'9ers claiming 6' people have lost all frame of reference.

Ina way it makes sense. Tv ratings for regular season baseball games are terrible. They are relegated to regional premium sports channels for the most part. Viewers are getting a majority of their viewing via highlights on sportscenter or YouTube where homerun highlights draw eyeballs without being affected by game…
A lot of pirate/streaming sites have all kinds of nefarious popups on them, including porn. They are click-farms.
Flash is much better to watch in binge-watching mode anyways... Gets a lot of that annoyingly stretched-out storylines and resolves them in what seems like a more reasonable time.
How to avoid backing a bad crowdfunding project: Don’t back any crowdfunding projects.
As a former Dolphins fan, who got tired of the completely inept team years ago, the Patriots. I’m rooting for someone to go 19-0 so we never have to see or hear the 1972 Dolphins ever again... although on second thought, do we really want to see Tom Brady popping champagne for the next decade? Ugh, tough decision...…
I can see letting Wake walk, his useful years aren’t going to line up with the rebuild. I can even understand Landry last year because good WRs aren’t too difficult to find and he was raising hell about losing.
IF? They already have.
On the plus side, they will all be dead soon.
The Dolphins have been stuck in NFL purgatory ever since the Jay Fiedler era. They have been TRYING to tank for almost a decade and can’t even do that right. They usually start out on the right track, going 0-4, and then somehow the players overperform and they go on a tear of winning just enough to finish between…
He just spent $500 million renovating the stadium. I found there are any intentions of moving.
Google hasn’t had a problem with their phones slowing down with updates. Many people are using the Pixel 1 without a single issue today with the latest updates to Android 10.
That probably is the most realistic outcome of all of this. They could switch to an ebay style bidding system for drivers. Driver’s input hourly and mileage rates and the system’s algorithms factor in pricing vs. wait time for riders and distribute rides to drivers with the lowest bids.
Not necessarilly true. If there are a significant number of workers exceeding the 29.5 hour threshold today, where are all of these new employees going to come from to make up for the loss of productivity when hours are slashed?
If Lyft and Uber truly are the technology companies solving logistics problems through algorithms that they claim to be... then all of the issues you outlined should be inconsequential to solve.
I’m a huge scifi fan... and I have a rule that I refuse to watch any network sci-fi unless it makes it to season 3 because of the premature cancellations. I got tired of getting invested in something for it to be cancelled.
This article and title completely miss the point. The studies cited aren’t the REASON they are using plastic. The study is the justification for doing so. The study was funded by a plastic producer, what do you think that study is going to say? If they did a new one today it would still be skewed to meet their desired…
You’re right, I live in a city with terrible public transportation. Chicago might be ok... as are many of the largest and most urbanized cities (San Francisco, New York.) Move out into suburbs or cities that are spread over large geographical areas and it becomes impossibly inefficient.
Exactly. It’s an alternative for people who can’t afford a car and/or Uber. Saying people should not use Uber/Lyft and should use public transportation as an alternative are being ridiculous, because they aren’t close to equivalent.
Public transportation in the US is a mess and shouldn’t even be mentioned as an alternative because of how bad it is. A typical trip that takes 20 minutes by car will take 1.5 hours via public transportation and will still require a 1-3 mile walk. Our cities and infrastructure were not designed for public…
