It’s a pretty incredible aircraft, amplified by that fact that it was designed parallel to one of the largest enduring clusterfucks in military aviation (looking at you JSF). I love living in San Diego and getting to watch them fly in and out of MCAS Miramar pretty much non-stop.

I got curious so I looked into it. Apparently the V-22 has a driveshaft that connects the engines, so if one fails it can have power routed to it from the remaining one. Pretty awesome stuff assuming it works. With a double engine out I’d take the AV-8B, glide ratios and all.

I doubt it’s by very much, though.
