Unless it’s a game. ;)

It’s not a degrading orbit. The ship he’s jumping from is not in the sphere of influence and so is not affected by the gravity. It’s deltaV is 0. He jumps down because of the ships artificial gravity, and then keeps falling into the natural gravity of the planet.

... I ... what? ... <wiki> ... I wrote “times” :p

He’s not falling from orbit (moving very fast tangential to the surface at a high altitude), he’s falling from a high altitude.

They plan to implement this, but it’s not a priority right now. Right now they’re working on getting stable, toolset-solid planets out. After that comes better multiplayer, actual artificial intelligence (no shit), non-ice water, and then comes reentry effects.

What times to be alive!

Actually, that’s the successful one.

KSP and SE are similar games, but they cater to different audiences. A lot of people I’ve met who play SE don’t like KSP, and vice versa. They’re both space games for different crowds.

Season passes are ruining the gaming industry. You’re paying for DLC that hasn’t even been made, or worse is already on the disc.

That some of the finest bullshit I’ve seen in quite some time. Well done.

I addressed that in another comment already. You’re always moving as you breath. Animals may not recognize you right away, but it may make them more curious about what that slightly moving thing is.

Wow. If those are some of the ingame cutscene I can’t wait to watch them on YouTube once someone cuts them into an animated movie. >.>

I think this isn’t an official video, but a bootlegged version someone filed of screen, so we can be happy that we have it at all.

First, I wrote “eyes” instead of “ears”. Well that’s dyslexia for you.

Neither are bats, yet they use this method to locate and hunt down prey.

I think you can imagine it like the depth buffer of a game:

That’s some messed up stuff you people got there. This is adult content if I’ve ever seen one.

... already got some battle scars? I know that feeling. :|

Actually there is a good chance that consoles cease to exist. MS is moving close to it’s PC gaming costumers. There are hints that the next Xbox will be just a gaming focused PC. It still would be a device locked down into generations (think Surface), but it will have much more open software.
