I don’t know what transmission fluid was in your car, but it needed to be changed! If it was too cold for a manual trans, then your auto trans would also be grinding itself up. 

You got to be careful! I was searching these when Ford announced they were discontinued, and was tempted by some great Fiesta ST appearance packages, which some dealers post as a Fiesta ST. They aren’t the same. I doubt you can get a decent Fiesta ST for $10K unless the dual clutch trans has not been addressed.

I think of it as trying to avoid temperature stress. When I get up and try to run somewhere, I pull a muscle. I don’t want my car’s components to be excessively stressed because I’m revving a cold engine.

Just keep the RPM low for the first minute or so if you’re concerned with stressing the motor.

My workplace built a brand-new research building so we could move out of our 104 year old research building. The new one is so complex everything seems broken and difficult to fix. After only 3 years, should we really be replacing every cold room and every elevator in the facility?

When I start my car for the first time of the day, I wait 20-30 seconds until the rpms drop down a bit, then I figure the car thinks it’s warmed-up. It does take longer in the winter, but never more than a minute. 

On both the Patriots and the Bucs, the receivers get away with or initiate a ton of pass interference. I thought this was a Belichik thing, but the Bucs were really good at it last year.
