Yeah, someone explain to me how you can manually shift a CVT. That makes zero sense to me.

Other fun trivia. The directors wanted him to stay completely silent, but when he started his “You rang??” and “Uuuugh!” sound bites, they could not deny the charm of vocal Lurch! I think less was more for his character. Silence would have been wrong, especially with Thing being the voiceless character on the show.

And if you sit in traffic too long, your seat will buzz to remind you to get out and walk awhile.

it is a new Kinja bug

Not for a few decades. It’s true that it’s the ‘sports-car’ of that era’s GA aircraft, which results in a lot of fatal incidents, but I haven’t seen recent accidents to support that claim. It was affordable performance, so it attracted people who were in over their heads.
