The driver is the captain of the vehicle. They are responsible for the safety of their passengers.

We’ve seen cars just as battered in other accidents where the seatbelted occupants (usually just a driver) survive, sometimes walking away from the scene. This is a sad, preventable tragedy.

Sounds like the guy not only was using very excessive speed, he wasn’t familiar with that particular road. Spirited driving should command your full attention and (preferrably) also familiarity with the roads.

They were likely trying to scare their passengers, which might get them aroused. We had a famous local case a few years back where a guy was taking teenage women for fast rides on a local, winding river road. He crashed badly, although not this badly.
Pace Cars are the American equivalent to Porsche “special edition” vehicles. Just regular vehicles optioned-up and given custom paint and interior.

The power is free and the time parked while charging is free. The parking fee is more of a fine than a charge.
Companies still pull this crap??? Considering that they have less and less loyalty to their workers, why would you enforce this kind of hazing?
