Leaving this here.

All this congee/porridge talk got me in the mood for it. Grabbed some pork and vegetable congee for breakfast this morning. Perfect thing for a rainy typhoon day.

Reverse?  Are we sure?  Seems to be the location of the parking spots and the intact fence on the opposite side indicate something entirely different happened....

Jason, there’s no need to go nuts over this. I know we’d all be screwed without the various types of fasteners in our cars, but this was hardly a riveting post. (Although, I will say that photo of the Spyker shows they really know how to nail an interior.) I realize you’re probably just trying to hit your quota so you

I saw one of these in Nova Scotia a few years ago, at a VW specialty place in the quaint town of Waterville in the Annapolis Valley. It looked to be in better shape than this one (original paint & decals) and also had a BMW badge on the front - not sure if that was how it was sold or that was added by the owner.

Ridiculous car rebadging you say?

All hail the physical button. Nothing is as safe. It’s always where you left it. There is physical feedback when you use it. No need to ever take your eyes off the road.

Great googly moogly.

I will once again point out that a plug in hybrid gets 90% of driving accomplished on electric, while using 20% of the battery. Using current available tech it will go much farther environmentally than making 20 million electric only cars that have 400 miles of range. While, yes you are hailing around a motor and

“Daddy, the top came off...”

You get them from U-Line or they are in your shipping dept. No need to go to Home Depot. Pallet Strapping Corner Piece.

Enclosed cars are difficult when you have no HVAC. It will be a sauna in the summer and windows will fog in the winter/rain. I suspect that’s the main reason open was the standard.

Too bad my car is painted Vanta Black. He’ll never see me coming even with his portable sun.

Thanks to a lack of scheduling conflicts elsewhere in my schedule of corner working, I might get to witness Volkswagen’s attempt in person! I was already thinking of working this event, but now I’ll definitely sign up at the first opportunity.

I think you hit on a great point about our overall approach. It takes X amount of energy to move a vehicle of a given weight and given aero profile down the road. The nature of low electricity cost, more battery giving both more performance and more range, and relatively low current EV adoption rate makes it look like

Yup. For 19 large of someone else’s project I expect it to be complete and fully operational and without body flaws. This one? CP, and that’s before thinking about what that heavy engine did to the S2000's handling.

If FSD lasts more than 4 hours, consider yourself extremely lucky.”

Great, another area where classic Porsche prices are gonna get stupid.

The wording on that sign is not the best. Saying that they must turn is not as good as a simple halt command. Overheight is technical jargon that takes a few seconds for the average schlub to parse, it should really be a simple “Halt! Too Tall. Will Crash.” which is much more helpful because it is a lower reading age.
