I feel like this was an executive decision, that the engineers specified was no reason to actually develop, that were told to do it anyways because it would increase our stocks to tell users it’s 1 less thing that needs replacing...

The Jaguar XJ.

My band played on the other Peter Pan Futureliner at a car show a bunch of years ago (can’t miss that one, it’s green). I will tell you from experience, it’s not an ideal stage in any possible way.

Near Earth Orbit is the part of space where most stuff is going on. It’s rare to launch something past there.

I’m more disappointed that they didn’t mention what ISP was produced in the test, as that will ultimately be why such an engine gets selected for future missions. The thrust level can be scaled up later, but ISP is why they are pursuing this new design.

This article seems to have missed the real impetus for this design from inception was the increased efficiency from high aspect ratio wings (thinner). Yes, most current designs look the same because we need to have wide wings to support the weight of the plane. The brace addresses this. Another problem to address is

This article is very negative, but electric plane makers are saying they have 250 miles of range now. 80% or more of all flights are “short haul” and if electric planes can replace that, it’d be a big step in the right direction. One airline in Alaska has already committed to go electric which makes sense because they

The specific energy of jet fuel is around 12,600 watt-hours per kilogram. This means that with 1 kilogram of fuel, you could get a power of 1 watt for 1 hour

+1 to forest green.  And expand that to colors beyond white, nine shade of gray, and black.

Tailfins and boattails, give me that classic nonsense style. It just has a sense of style that you don’t get these days. Also, I’d like tactile controls in the cabin again, because fuck the touchscreens.

A. Thinner A pillars.
B. Bigger Windows/lower beltline
I want to drive around in a car, not a tank. See current gen taurus and camaro.
C. This is less feature and more color choice. Bring back forest green exteriors. It is the best color by far. I’m tired of the white crossover. (Literally I think I saw 8 different

I agree. Also, what a heartbreak for Goodyear in 1995.

Yeah, you don’t get much slipstream from a car going that slow anyway.

BMW Z3 in Goldeneye

oh right the regulations, the regulations for Kuzco, the regulations chosen to especially kill Kuzco, kuzco’s regulations.

100%!!! I was like “I’ve got you now, Fitler!!”

That blue car (Peugeot?) remains in the left lane, which appears to be a left-or-continue-around-the-roundabout lane, it doesn’t cut them off. But, even if it did cut in, the Yaris has its brakes on the whole time until just before the stupid eunuch hits it and flips itself over. It looks like the Yaris starts to move

Agreed.  Really painful to read, at times.  Some paragraphs flow nicely.  And then the next one has 7 sentences that all have 5 or 6 commas in them, hiding the intent of the sentence until the final word.  As if Jamie thinks he needs to write in this complicated a manner to sound smart, or something.  Brutal.

My brain hurts in trying to read this.

There’s nothing mysterious here - you simply cannot notice the difference when a boat drifts free of a mooring. Even if you were awoken by something, you’d naturally believe it’s just one of the incessant bumps and bounces come with boat life. Everything is always in motion.
