I’m amazed at how quiet it is inside the car. From the outside, it’ll melt your eardrums. Inside, you can hear the linkages clanking and tires going over the rumble strips.
What should I have for lunch at Torchy’s Tacos?
WiFi calling is all fine and dandy until you live so far out of town that your internet connection is over MiFi. Then a signal booster really is the only option because everything in the house depends on that sweet, sweet 4G LTE nectar.
The one thing that analog (and even fake analog) gauges do better than pure digital is giving the driver rate-of-change information. It is much easier to judge how fast a needle is moving and when it will arrive at a certain position (i.e. shift point) than trying to judge how fast numbers are changing and when they…
And they all orbit around a Civic del Sol.
Sign me up when the BRM V-16 goes on that list.
Survivorship bias. Look it up.
The only way it could have been better was if Zanardi was driving.
One star just isn’t enough. Have a few more.
IIRC, the front edge of the hood has a black rubber gasket. The black rubber against a white body really stands out and looks like a bigger gap than there really is.
Same thing happened with me on my Integra. I was lucky that I’d actually tried shifting without the clutch a few times, so I had a little practice with it. Upshifts are just a matter of timing. Downshifts are much, much trickier.
I agree completely. I complain to IT any chance I get that the lump of crap on my desk is costing the company hundred of dollars a week in lost productivity. They claim it’s all the latest and greatest hardware with the fastest HDD they could get. I tell them they are deluding themselves. A SATA 6 interface is useless…
5 minutes? Luxury. It takes my computer at work a minimum of 12 minutes to get from off to reading my first email of the day. It can easily be over 20 minutes if IT decided to roll out updates overnight. I’ve had it take almost 30 minutes if the daily AV scan kicks in immediately on boot-up for the trifecta of drive…
You get a star, Stef, for correctly using “moot”.
Delaware is in the same boat. They buy and sell license plates with low numbers at auction.
When the turbo spools up, it pulls in enough air to lower the air pressure in front of the car (see Bernoulli for an explanation). The air inside the cooler wants to join the party, so it pushes the lid up and escapes. If the cooler has a decent seal, it’ll be really hard to open for a few minutes.
I came looking for this very point. EV brakes have to dissipate far less heat than ICE brakes since a large fraction of the kinetic energy is put back into the batteries instead of into heating up the brakes.
Or how we pronounce it Germany, but the Germans pronounce it Deutschland.
