They tried that when Rita was headed for them. Imagine if the entire state of Maryland tried to drive through DC and into Virginia. The gridlock lasted a week and 100 people died as a result. Rita turned at the last minute and did minimal damage to Houston.

victory in the 2nd Korean War.

It’s got 3?? horsepower? No wonder they can’t sell them.

That clearly works for some of them, but the rider at 1:28 even has trouble at 90 degrees.

I had a ‘94 GSR, and 3rd gear pulls were the best. Everyone goes on and on about how the peak torque is so high in the rev range. What they don’t realize is that the engine had enough torque to pull 3rd gear all the way from idle. There’s nothing like going from 10-90 in a single gear in less than 1/4 mile.

It should be fairly easy to swap out the camera optics for a telescope. It’s already got all the anti-vibration mounts for taking highly detailed photos at supersonic speeds.

Sounds like a job for an SR-71 flying upside down.

I’m probably going to take beating for this, but it can’t go unsaid any longer...

Is that an iOS feature or an Android feature? My phone doesn’t have granular controls like that. My pairing is an all or nothing proposition.

There are three things I want to do while while driving:
1) Listen to the car’s radio
2) Hear voice navigation from Waze (from the phone speaker)
3) Make and receive calls over Bluetooth

Wish I could give you a star per picture.

Brian Fitzpatrick just ran a sub-6 quarter mile with a 2JZ.

The Audi also misjudged the speed of the SUV. Does anyone see the reason why the SUV hits its brakes and slows dramatically right before the impact?

Nice idea. I like it in theory. But for me, the real joy of driving a manual is the visceral feel you get sliding the shift lever into place and matching revs with a perfectly timed heel-toe. Sadly, pushing a button tapping a spot on a flat surface will never come close to that experience. Heck, I’ve got paddle

I loved Kimi’s, “Just leave me alone. I know what to do.”

As much as I hate to say it, I have to lean slightly in United’s favor on this one. There is no way “sleeping dude” was allowed to be like that during landing and no way he’d be allowed to stay that way for take-off. And if “sleeping dude” had just boarded the plane, then he’s got one hell of a case of narcolepsy to

I wish I could give you more stars. The only way self-driving cars or, ideally, Uber will ever reduce congestion is if they get popular enough that a driver can pick up a second rider that is going in the same direction as the first rider. Maybe Uber can offer a discount, say 30% off, if a rider agrees to share the

My wife’s Jeep Cherokee turns the radio on every time the car turns on. The radio is ON BY DEFAULT! And the info screen that controls it starts out with a safety warning. So the get the vehicle started routine is start the engine, acknowledge safety warning, mute radio (there is no “OFF” button, only mute), then

You get a star for proper use of “moot”.

The light is yellow at the start of the video. I’m betting the two drivers had different ideas on whether they could make it through before it turned red. I think the driver of the car judged it correctly.
