I find that only a little of their music stands the test of time, but they’re undeniably stand-up guys.

yup that’s exactly the right take on wanting to bring in more diverse opinions to a thing historically and currently dominated by white people

The best part of the SNL skit is Dermot came out and couldn’t even ID himself!

Lindsay Weir made that exact mistake about the title of Baba O’Reilly on Freaks & Geeks. And the fact that it’s Beto O’Rourke’s favorite song only makes me love him more.

Which was also written by Paul Rudnick.

She walks into a movie that is full of perfectly-cast actors who already had an entire film of building their characters and still steals the show (with the exception of the Thanksgiving play). She’s amazing.

Her performance in Addams Family Values is legitimately one of my favorite performances ever. I think it’s a truly brilliant comedic performance.

Cusack had a pretty rough 90s, not only did she find out her fiance was gay but she got a friggin’ Malibu Barbie.

Left at the alter, Joan Cusack has one of the best lines in movie history. Running out into traffic she shouts:

MacGruber was the second thing I thought of after Ghostbusters.

I came here to post the same thing, but you beat me to it. Great scene.

I am very disappointed in your lack of MacGruber.

Oooh’s really great, but I think their most infectious song is another AOI collabo.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa. I could maybe take the argument that it’s been ages since either of them released a truly great album (though I’m also fine with artists releasing pretty good albums), but Simon in particular has plenty of later-period gems I’d put up against a lot of his earlier work. Just this century, I’d say

His Sinatra was always my favorite take, though Piscopo was good. The Sinatra Group was one of my favorite skits of all time. “You don’t scare me. I’ve got chunks of guys like you in my stool!”

Jan Hooks and Phil are both, sadly gone. This video is such a good memorial.

The Sinatra Group is my all-time favorite SNL sketch. Hell, that whole episode, hosted by Sting was amazing.

“The Sinatra Group” was STELLAR!
