My wife is not an auto enthusiast, and i think she would be thrilled with this MDX UX. She has enough other crap on her mind that she just wants the vehicle to do what she wants it to do, nothing more and nothing less. I’d bet she represents a pretty good portion of the auto-buying public.

It can be made road-legal in my state. The bigger draw for me is that there are a couple farms/ranches in my family, so no worries about trail restrictions. Moreover, they have bulk storage of ag diesel on those farms, so cheap running.

A major cause for unintended braking is when there is a car approaching from the opposite direction on a curved road. The automated braking system cannot tell what the other vehicle is going to do.

So....my daily driver is an ‘02 Accord couoe with 5-spd stick. The SRS light came on last year. I took it to the Honda dealer and it was fixed FOR FREE under Honda’s lifetime ”belts & buckles” warranty that they had on their cars from that era (nope, they don’t have it on newer Hondas).

It would be best with AWD. With the different modes they can program into the SH-AWD, they could program a RWD mode where the car is primarily RWD, only kicking in the FWD when wheel slip is sensed.

I have a five mile commute, and we get 15+ hrs sunlight in the summer, and it is generally pretty sunny here. This could be my summer car if someone gave it to me! On the downside, we only get 8 hrs sunlight in winter, and it is at such a low angle as to be worthless.

Honda hasn’t sold too many of the 2wd Ridgelines. Most are AWD, and the RTL-E seems to be the top seller by far, and is not available in 2wd.

You were probably just looking at published figures for those trucks, which is a common mistake that most people make. Those high-payload models are typically base versions that have strange combinations of options that you rarely find because they don’t appeal to most people. The models that people actually buy…

I guess that depends on what you mean by “towing and payload”. As for payload, the Ridgeline has a higher payload than most mid-size trucks, especially the ones you find on dealers lots. Plus it can haul 4x8 plywood and drywall flat in the bed.

They should probably axe the Titan, since big truck buyers are loyal beyond comprehension.

Nothing wrong with unibody. It actually makes more sense than BoF when it comes to smaller trucks.
