K-Car wagon? I think you may be correct.

OK, maybe a Fairmont. It’s a little hard to tell from the original picture, but the height and shape of the taillights, the double angles (greenhouse and body), the massive bumper as well as the apparent extra width of the license plate because of the reverse lights makes me think of this car. But the original looks

I’m going to say 450SLC and Mercury Zephyr Wagon.

Question asked, question answered...

I haven’t seen one on the road in some time so I can’t really say how big it is, but it seems closer to full-size than the Transit Connect, ProMaster City and similar small work vans. More of a mid-sizer, probably closer in size to today’s modern passenger “mini”-vans (I drive a Mazda5 - I allowed to say that...)

Don’t forget the Mercedes Metris, probably a better looking van than the Sprinter (if you paint that huge expanse of black plastic on the front).

I’m weird - I’ve always liked minivans. They seem to be the perfect blend of size and practicality. Even in college I traded my Rabbit GTI for a Vanagon (the Rabbit was a hell of a lot of fun, but was an electrical nightmare that frequently broke down and cost me dearly - repeatedly). OK, most minivans are a snore to

Where’s the option to remove about 18 inches out of the middle and have only three doors?

And in my case, I wanted a minivan but didn’t need it, and I’m never giving it up.

That is how I had to do it on my Ford Windscar. Stupid, stupid, stupid...

Just like the APU exhaust on a DC-10/MD-11 shows that McDonnell Douglas didn’t like ramp agents, the transverse V6 shows that engineers don’t like mechanics...

A guy at the junkyard wanted to borrow a 12mm socket in order to get a starter motor out of an Infiniti M45. He couldn’t figure out how to get it out so I looked it up for him. It turns out that you need to remove a motor mount and jack up the engine an inch or two, something you most likely will not be able to do in

The initial purchase is fine, but it’s the problems with noxious emissions and multiple recalls that crop up later...

I bought a GTI when I was 17 and somehow managed not to kill myself. Oh, I tried (115 MPH canyon blasts for a film project, bombing around the back bay at 50 MPH in a 15 MPH zone), but there’s only so much trouble you can get into with 90 HP. Maybe a Rabbit GTI is the answer...

It seems like it’s all about states rights, until the states do something that goes opposite of what the feds want, and then the states need to get back in line or be punished, right?

Great - one fewer option if I ever have to replace my Mazda5 6MT. I like having a taller vehicle that is easier to get in and out of, but don’t want to join the masses and contribute to the unnecessary flood of SUVs on the road. Mazda3 it is, until they remove the manual option on that one as well.

I’ll second that. I don’t think the third row in mine have been used since early 2013. I’m just glad they leave a flat floor when tucked away.

Done. The knob on my Mazda5 was pulled from a Mitsubishi Eclipse, so it doesn’t show 6th gear and shows reverse in the wrong place.

Oops - that should have been a reply to the original poster.

Having owned them on several BMWs I can confirm that they are an absolute PITA to keep clean. I still like the look, but never again will I put them on a car. Never.
