That’s a good one. The tail-end of my dad’s tenure as a Toyota salesman was right when these came out, and I remember sitting in one. For some reason, 11-year-old me really liked the shape of the steering wheel.

For regular-ass people, the L31 Altima. These things were everywhere. Little did we know back then how... notorious these humble Altimas would be 20 years later. Still found in today’s buy here, pay here lots, and finding one today without any body damage is rarer than seeing a LaFerrari on the road. Historic picture:
We’re really going to overlook something else with clear tails that was much more culturally resonant at the time it came out?
The fact that any Stellantis brands could rate highly on quality is a dead giveaway that its BS.
This.
Just a reminder that JD power initial quality is a very poor metric for reliability. It basically just shows which brands can iterate on their Ux faster.
Yeah like what 3 years ago peak pandemic, sure, it was a bitch to get hand sanitizer, now.... your just looking to catch some guy fucking, well ask and you shall receive.
Do you think selling a cheap EV will somehow be easier to make money with?
Nope. Lucid is in the rare position where there’s less demand than production capabilities. https://jalopnik.com/lucids-investors-are-getting-tired-of-waiting-for-a-tur-1850408002
Aren’t they only struggling because they’re having manufacturing issues? I believe demand is outstripping supply, right?
I could see sanitizer theft becoming a problem because bums drink it.
Yep. Give me a cheap, stripped down dual motor skateboard with a couple of chairs and a roof. Actually it might be even better without the roof.
Considering how much Lucid is struggling in the premium sedan market, it’s surprising another EV startup would attempt the same.
I agree with this 1000%. It seems like the sanitizer is some sort of excuse to monitor park bathrooms.
Not only that students threw the bastard a vigil in his honor when he died.
You know there is something wrong when this isn’t even close to the worse thing that Penn State is known for.
cameras set up to catch people who were stealing hand sanitizer from the bathrooms
We leased our first Bolt in 2017. We leased our second Bolt in 2020. We bought out our lease last month. Even with parking the car outside before the battery pack was replaced, it was still a great little car. Could have bought a Tesla, but didn’t see the value there. Ugly? Ever stare at a VW bug? Largest selling…
Nope. Not until the state and/or power companies help with the purchase price. The batteries are only good for a given number of cycles and I am not handing that over to anyone who didn’t pay for it. I am already selling my solar power back at pittance to the grid. This is too much.
Something about the way it looks just screams to me: “Now you and 45 of your closest friends can die in a low-speed collision!”
